Well to be fair, a lot of AZ's cops aren't like you Curt... There are those that I have a lot of respect for like yourself, then there are others that are purely in the game for an ego trip it seems. Though, to be fair most of them seem to be the motorcycle traffic cops from my experience :D Reguardless of how they act, I'm always respectful and polite to any officer that has ever pulled me over or I've dealt with... fortunately that's not to often :D

Also note, if I was to get a speeding ticket, I'd much rather it be from an officer than a camera.

Don't respond to the Photo Radar ticket from what I've been told. You also have a right to face your accuser and I think a camera isn't going to be able to testify in person. One of my fellow Deputies was cited on the 51 by photo radar and he chose to fight it. They dropped it.

And Motorcycle cops are supposed to write tickets. Their whole job title is Traffic Enforcement and they are required to write 'em. Sorry that you've had a run in with a slew of ego infused Adam Henries..I know for a fact that there are a lot of them out there. It's an ego filled world I'm in and I'm growing weary of it. Many of them only have a few years on. For the most part us more seasoned LEO's are more relaxed, but still alert.

I have had only 1 experiance with a Copper that was an "Asshole". Personally, he was justified. While I was in the middle lane of the west bound I-10, I was passed by a white truck, going about 85 mph in the left lane. As traffic was going about 60 mph at the time, I got into the left lane, and accelerated to about 70, to pass the slower traffic. I looked in my mirror and saw a motor cop with his lights on. Now, It was raining like mad, and just as I signaled to merge into the left lane, a large chunk of mud fell off my truck, and hit the guy. He pulled me over, and wrote me a ticket for going 70 in a 65. I didnt fight it, or argue with the cop. Hell.....as many times as I have been pulled over, and not ticketed, I felt I had this comming. On top of that, What a shitty day the guy was having. On a motorcycle, in the rain, only to have some mud fly off a fucking truck and hit him......All other times I have interacted with the local LEO's, has been a decent experiance. Hell....For the most part, they are no different than any other person doing a job.

What the hell was he doing on a bike on a rainy day. Our guys have cars to drive during days like that. Too dangerous to be riding in the rain.

Not sure. The rain was an unaxpected rain storm. Hell....That morning when I left for work, it was a 10% chance of afternoon showers.

I try not to tell everyone I'm a cop. It is like wearing a bullseye on your back but I always carry off duty (even at Rays) and I'm always ready should a situation arise.
