Yeah, I was hoping for something within 5-10 minutes of my house like the other area. What about the area north of Jomax, west of Cave Creek? That's close.

Meh, depends on the stuck truck’s weight and hang up. I’m not going to make a 300 point turn for an easy pull.

Getting @BDMcGuire off the ledge this time is about as hard as I like backwards. The recovery strap did its job and snatched.

I’ve pulled several of the guys here backwards and @stumbles both directions. It’s my risk to take and I understand others may not want to do the same.

They'll get you 200 for dust control and 1000 for being off trail.... I got a ticket years back when i was riding dirtbikes and trying to ride back with a vroken wrist and just wanted back to my truck and was a little turned around.

Because this is what could happen if pulling someone out in reverse. Even though I was going up hill in reverse with a fully loaded truck. But both are very similar to putting the same stress on the Ring and pinion.
    X2 on this one. ;)

So it’s bad to pull some one out in reverse, not necessarily be pulled out in reverse? I’m a little confused on this

Yup. We've been eyeing it. Posted some pics over in AZBS.

Neighbor lost some roofing, offered up tarp and ladder to help. Inspected all my stuff.

I think there may be a difference in pulling someone out in reverse and using a winch like I did..? As I was just standing on my brakes and idling the truck at a higher RPM for more winch power... I was in Park, wheels did not turn as I was on the brakes down hard (my taco did get pulled a bit, but no tire spin) so there should not have been any stress on the pinion, right? Only if I had the vehicle in reverse... Just playing this out in my head, since my 4.88's are probably even weaker than the factory R&P's...

Good info though, thanks for advice.
