I had a place called Affordable Powdercoating in Phoenix do it. They do a lot of off-road products made around the valley. It was only $210 but more importantly I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

Damn! spendy I just had my demello coated up here in flagstaff and it was $100 out the door. with that price tag you can bring it to flag spend the day w the wife or GF and then still have gas money to come back up and pick it up.

Hello guys I’m new here and I’ve been wheeling my Taco as a lone wolf for about 1 1/2 years now. I’ve hit up lots of trails all around in Az and I thought that maybe I could meet up with some of you guys and hit up some trails. Im pretty addicted to off roading just about every weekend and one of my favorite trails is Butcher Jones area. Here’s a little show and tell.

Winching an Fj Cruiser up hill in Butcher Jones.
I would post the video but as much as I try to, I can’t upload it or other cool ones.
I know that the hill looks like a piece of cake, but it’s night time and pictures never do it any justice.

You know you're in a no fly area, right? There's an airport and a helipad right on the other side of that hill. Not to mention all the helicopter tours that happen. I guess rules don't apply...

It’s actually not a no fly zone. It’s a Class G airport which has no ATC tower. According to FAA rules you don’t have to contact the airport because it has no ATC tower so therefore your argument is invalid. I checked the rules before I flew them. There laws are governed by FAA laws and they got called out by the FAA. Even when they says it’s prohibited it’s not prosecutable because FAA said so.

Learned something new today. It’s sad when these local bureaucrats decide to take the law into their own hands. Wonder how much money was wasted on these signs. They should dock that lady’s pay to recover the costs.

If you want to get technical it's uncontrolled airspace but you still have to be in radio contact with local traffic. However, because it's uncontrolled airspace you can still fly a drone there.

Even at that, no pilot will fly that low in that area. A helicopter pilot has a death wish if they fly that low in that area due to the fact that they have no suitable landing area to autorotate to in the event of an engine failure.
