I would like to get a donor vehicle from auction is one option, the other option is to buy GM EROD motor swapped into my 2014 regular cab taco. I believe based on CARB, if the drivetrain including smog is installed into an older vehicle...I can get it registered...meaning I need 2014+ models. I'm not sure how you are with Ford, but an ecoboost from 2015+ Mustang wouldn't be bad either. I know the V6 auction cars can be had for less than 10K easy. If the trans goes with it...I think the only thing would be to get a custom drive shaft.

Be a lot cheaper if I could get an earlier model to do the swap, but it's a no go with California.

I visited Jason at his shop yesterday to get some direction on making my suspension better. He offered up some good input once again. I will querry ICON today for their reccomendation with these these digressive coil-overs.

Jason, and anyone else tracking my ICON suspension issue: I just sent an e-mail to ICON asking for their reccomendation on stopping the easy bottoming out I have. Hopefully they respond promptly. I think I should have grabbed the Kings at the GB that just ended... I am confident the with Jason's help I will get it dialed in.

Valving is everything on these trucks, I'm sure you will get it figured out Bill. Did you call DSM also?
In the end you will have a new feel and hopefully a full leaf pack.

A little bit of test fitting @AzPerformanceEngineering

Really looking forward to getting these 14" Kings installed. First up is a full rebuild and a possible revalve. This is the downside to buying used shocks but I know these guys will get it handled.

Yea, the AzPerformanceEngineering LT Tacoma is a great loaner vehicle for sure. I think that if you were on the bench about going LT in a prerunner, you need to go for a ride in the 05. It's only a matter of time before that truck is fully caged and supercharged

Nah, just getting the plastic bull bar and whitewall tires. Might even go for the curb feelers if funds permit! You guys will be so jealous!

Good talk with Jason at his shop just off I-17 this afternoon again. We have a simple go-forward plan for the front suspension now. Hopefully it will happen next week. I also got to eyeball a nice (Class 12 I think?) air-cooled VW Beetle desert race car, and Jason's own long-travel gen 2 Tacoma.
