Holy Shiite I just looked up where the trail head is. It's a two and a half hour drive for me just to get there. Better get my ass up early. Better not brake anything either. It'll be a longer push home.

 

One of my co-workers spotted this on AZFJ and believes that side may be closed off.

Someone should really make sure that's not the case.

No vehicle access Oct thru Mar. Also requires Tonto Pass, which would catch guys like me off guard.

 

I'll ask for work off that day so I can attend.

 

Is the Tonto pass the same as the Bulldog pass?

No, I think it's a paid day pass available at stores all over the place. Water access sites need it. I don't play on the lakes, so I wouldn't have been aware and had to backtrack.

Tonto passes are 10 bucks a vehicle. However that is negligent if the gates will be locked......

EDIT: @TRON_ If the area/pass will be a problem, then perhaps we do our runs then all roll together back to Tempe Marketplace to eat like @JTS2014TACO was talking about?

 

Even the lot at Saguaro is like 10$ to park.

Move it to the base of Widowmaker and bring some plastic Barbie Jeeps for downhill racing.

 

Could do the parking lot at the entrance to 4 peaks.... Or the wash by widow maker. Or the parking lot at probecito(sp?) as its right next to butcher Jones.....

I wonder if 2wd non prerunner trucks will get stuck in that wash and it be a shit show trying to get all of them out. 4 peaks and bulldog are mostly roads.... That wash at widow isn't bad but I could see people getting stuck if they are 2wd and open diff once they stop.

 

I'd be down to meet at the QT on university and the 101 and convoy up there.

 

I dunno. As long as there is no more rain I'm sure the 2wd will be fine
