Is this run Toyotas only? Got a friend that's going to ride in @Buddha6113's Tacoma, but he wants to bring his Ford.

    sort of :notsure:

I'll just lay this out here for everyone to weigh in on. Due to the size of this event, WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO CHARGE SOMETHING. There is no way around this, I'm sorry guys. This technically changes the permitting that we will need with Tonto NF as we would go from a recreational group to a commercial group. Before anyone gets worked up I want to be very clear: No one will be profiting from this event. Because of that fact, I think we can still qualify under the standard permit, but event charges will be "donations" not "registration fees".

Funds raised would go to pay for a number of things:

    1. Everyone will get a personalized door sticker pack which will have 2 stickers for use at the event and 2 stickers to take home with you. I am still waiting on an estimate for these. If these are too expensive we will use window paint for vehicle numbering and will print event stickers anyway.
    2. Food and beverage expenses
    3. Signage and swag bags (each vehicle will get a swag bag with cool stuff from vendors, route information, itinerary, poker sheet etc etc)

We are left with the issue of what to do with anything that is potentially left over. I am anticipating some left over. The initial idea was to drop excess into a bank account to use for future AZTW events. I think there may be some issue with this so I have expressed to our Tonto rep a few possible options

    1. Adopt a trail (Bloody Basin RD from FR24 to Sheeps Bridge)
    2. Donate to Tonto NF
    3. Donate to Tonto Ranger District

I would love to hear other ideas from you guys because we will decide as a group where the money will be going.

I know that there was someone in our crew that had a wife of something that worked for Tonto, anyone remember who that was?

Also, I don't think I should have to do this but in todays snowflakey day and age I unfortunately have to, you will also be required to sign a waiver releasing all associated parties of any liability for this event. You are responsible for your own actions and the well being of those in your truck. If you wreck your shit, its on you. If you wreck someone else's shit, its still on you. If you or someone in your vehicle is injured or killed, thats on you. There will be a strict no drinking and driving policy and I anticipate rangers to be out in force that day and there will be other trucks on the road. If you refuse to sign, you will not be allowed to participate.
