Ok, I've now had the new exhaust components on for a solid 3 days of driving around on. It's gotten a little more rumblier/ throatier and a tad of the rasp is back. But that's ok, I like rasp... just not a shit-ton of it. The rasp gives it just a perfect amount of that raw, primal scream... I am a fan! I have ZERO drone... thank goodness. AND, I have already been complemented by two other local Tacoma owners (not yet on TW, although I told them TW was the 9th Wonder of the World and that they should join) on my black TRD tip!

 

Where'd you get the TRD tip from? Or is that the whole TRD exhaust package?

 

I bought the entire TRD catback system in August 2009, so I already had the TRD tip. I had it thermal-coated 10 days ago by a local place here in Phoenix.

 

I do have the TRD muffler if anyone is interested in it! Locals have dibs first.

 

Who wants to sell me a URD Y-pipe?!

I sourced an e39 V8 S62 engine, and I am going to toss it into the truck within the next month or two. There will be lots of reworking of the components, but its going to happen! Going to be sooo awesome!
