So, how stiff are your Dakars compared to stock?

Also, you think the trimming you did would be necessary for an access cab running the 295's?

I actually prefer the stiffness of the Dakars over the comfortability in the All-Pros. But, I do run alot of heavy stuff in my bed, so that may factor into it as well. I think the Dakars are comfy.

I had to do some trimming when my 295s were brand new, but now that they are worn down a little, they don't really rub anymore... either that, or they have rubbed the plastic pieces they were rubbing down to nothing! :D

Yeah, I'll probably run 285's anyway. also, what you think of the new allpro "expedition" leaf pack? They replaced the dakars on their site with it this morning, looks promising, but i dont know yet.

Nice truck. I'd go with OME front bumper instead, but that's about it. Thanks for taking the time to share all your images of the build. Hats off to you.

how much trimming do you mean by "some trimming?" did you have to just trim plastic, or did you have to get into the body mount? i am considering 295/75/16's. i would like to stay away from chopping the cab mount and it will be only street driving for now.

I have not done the body mount chop. Probably never will. I rub at full lock, but only in reverse... go figure.

Unfortunately, I dont any pictures that would you out that much. Reason being that I pulled a majority of the inner trimming off just for looks. It's not necessary to clear 295s so I don't want it to give you the wrong impression.

I check this thread out every so often. One of the Best Looking Tacomas out there. Props. I might also add one of the best license plates as well. Go Cats!

They weren't noisy when driving... just when going over bumps and during articulation... ie... anytime my suspension was moving a great deal. It was a creaking-like noise. Just annoying... made my 2008 truck sound like it was from 1908!

I greased them but to no avail. I ultimately sold them to Taylor (a local AZ Tacoma owner) and he hasn't had any issues/ noises with them at all and is very happy. And, I am just as happy with my Total Chaos UCAs.

Hope that paints a better picture! If not, let me know your specific questions.

Looks good bud, best option is not installing those goofy
headlight covers that look like eyelids.
Who the sh*t came up with those?
Anyways, I now have written template of what to do
    to my truck!
    Thanks for sharing your specs

Made a user just to follow your thread. Really digging the forum and I hope yall don't mind me being a chevy guy ha. I dig tacomas, just like full sizes better. Been a member at GMFS and TYF for a few years, seems like a nice forum here with a good attitude. I've got a few questions for you to answer about the truck as I've got a few things that I'm working on that are very similar to some of the things you did to your truck.

First off could somebody fab me up one of those sweet ass jerry can holders?!
