Well... everyone is going to mount their Yakima or Thule roof rack units in a different spot, so I suppose as long as one provides him the measurements... he can fab it right up. Didn't take he and his partner long to fab it up... but I know those guys are busy as heck (as usual).

When I am not spending $$$ on the truck... the BMW eats up $$$ like its freakin' petrol. I'm glad I don't drink or smoke, or I wouldn't be able to support my addictions to mods. Oh, I also have a GF to maintain as well. But, I'd rather by parts for my truck or M3 than buy clothes for myself.

What adapters did you use to mount the basket? I see that it has tabs for the low profile mount, but what adapters are those in your pic. I had Kevin from ATO fab me up some bars for my bed and I'm thinking about having Brandon fab me up a basket rather than buy a Baja basket, but my rack is 1.5" square tubing and I can't find adapters on the Thule or Yakima website that may work.

    Thanks!

    There are no "adaptors".

The two rails and fairing (screen) are from Thule. The basket was made by Brandon. The braces to attach the Avid basket to the Thule rails were cut by Brandon and simply hardware is used to attached it solidly... in my case, a generic bolt, two washers and a nut.

Or... are you talking about the legs that bolt onto the truck?

No, that's perfect. My rack was done by Armor Tec Offroad and with Brandon making the adaptors along with the basket that will work perfect. One more question. What are the dimensions?

Most of the baskets out there (Baja, Thule, Yakima) are a decent size, I'm probably going to go with something smaller but Avid build quality strong so like a 3' x 3.5' x 4" or so.

On a side note, I hope the Cats show up against OSU tomorrow night. They (Ok State) would love to do nothing more than to whup up on Bob Stoops little brother...

The basket was a custom size to fit how the roof rack was sitting at the time. Its not the longest rack (ie.. from front of truck to back) but it works for me. As for the dimensions.. I honestly can't remember. I'll measure for you and post it up in a few hours.

I still haven't measured the dimensions of the basket because I am too lazy to go out and measure it in this damn rain. It's been raining forever!!! AH! Time to play some Counter Strike!!

No worries, big rain down here right now as well. I've got my powdercoated bed bars from Armor Tech sitting in the back of the truck - I sure want to get installed today...

Gotta ask, how do you like the Nitto Trail Grapplers? Are they loud as hell on the street or not too bad??? Its between that and Cooper STT's. I havent seen too many people on here with the Trail Grapplers, so any thoughts you have would be appreciated. Thanks.
