I wont continue down this path since you are now making completely false and inaccurate statements based on what you think you know.

    I know thats my point!
People DO go off the deep end and to this day people dont know why.
I feel this is why more focus has to be put on figuring out the mental health side and learning why these things happen. This will be the only way to solve the issue.

As for bringing booster cables, recovery gear, survival gear. Your only doing that because you are putting yourself into that situation. You wont bring recovery gear when you hike because you wont need it. When you go to the grocery store you wont need recovery gear. Why should you be afraid and have to be prepared at every moment. Living in fear is not what was intended when we as a whole started developing this land.
    What has made this change?

Best of luck to anyone with ever solving this issue. Ever. Ever. Ever.

Because I am prepared is precisely why I am not afraid. Some people just don't know any better.

Cue the survivors from shows like I shouldn't be alive. "I never thought it could/would happen to me"

I don't know about you, but I don't carry jumper cables with me because I'm "afraid" I'm going to need them. I carry them "in case" I need them. There's a huge difference. I don't carry my pistol with me because I'm afraid. I carry it just in case something were to happen. I won't be the victim. That role will be played by the cocksucker trying to take my life.

I never said to live in fear, being prepared isn't being afraid. Do you have a savings? well you shouldn't cause you shouldn't be afraid, the gov will take care of you.

I always have recovery/survival gear wherever I go, why? I don't want to be the dumbass who dies cause he's a fucking idiot and didn't plan on getting stuck cause he lives in a developed land. A few weeks ago a guy died on a day trip 6 miles away from a well traveled highway.

I don't live in fear, otherwise I would stay home. HAve fun hoping your ambulance gets to you in time, I know mine cause its parked outside waiting for an airplane engine to fall on my hose or something:cool:

    Agreed.
Thanks for your side on the issue.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)

It is not fear that drives me to carry, It is always there with the knowledge that if someone decides to be a crazy fuck, and try to hurt others or myself, I have the capability and training to save my life or others.

There are sheep, then there are sheepdogs. While the sheep sleep peacefully the sheepdog guard them from the wolves. While the sheep wonder around going about their daily lives of eating the grass, walking around doing other fun sheep things, they do this without a care in the world, because they know there are sheepdogs there willing to protect them. If the sheep spent their whole lives worrying about death, then the sheep would die much sooner due to stress. There will never be enough shepards, which is why the the shepard has the sheepdog. And the moment the shepard puts the sheep in a small, confined area ( more strict laws, walled compounds) the sheep will become miserable. Thus, the shepard allows them to roam on a huge property with minimal fencing, to not restrict them as much as could be, to give them the appearance of freedom.

Without the sheepdogs, the sheep will be picked off.

I broke it down barney style for you. Everything I have said is truth, regardless of the (well what if this?) bullshit. This is life. All we can do is be prepared.

    Haha Thanks.
Never said I was against being prepared. Just turning handles on this revolving door of a debate. Still though, all in all by far the best analogy.
Words I truly live by- Proper Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance.

What does a CCL teacher do when he/she sees a fight where one student looks to be winning to the point of possible serious injury or death? Who decides when that is? and what do they do about it? pull the gun and start shooting? What if things were not quite so bad, only looked that way? Or are they only allowed to pull a gun when they see a gun? but violence comes in all different ways according to the gun right advocates. What if your child is on the bad end of a beatdown and the teacher didn't shoot to stop it? your child suffered permanent damage or even death as a result. Who is liable now? Teachers don't won't that responsibility. No sane person does. This whole teacher carry thing is a GIANT can of worms and teachers don't want to carry anyway.
