I'm interested in armor or something for the wheel well / fenders?

Is there some all weather material or armor or something i can use to solidift the wheel wells? in place of some regular mud flaps or something?

What are some good solutions for armoring those - -- in a way that will still allow for sliders, and armor rear and front bumper.

How much are like an exo-skeleton / cage for the rear lower half of the truck ?
I'm guessing its going to have to be custom fab? Or are there kits for this stuff that come out of the box?

My primary interest is in protecting the exterior from body damage as I really get into off-roading in a brand new vehicle. Don't want some really bad body damage.

Well armor.. all around. Plate bumper front and rear and sliders, new wheels/tires that stick out a little, add some mud with that and all the scratches disappear! Oh and lifted .... only around $6K extra. Thank me later.

Hate to be that guy but "off road" and "looking nice" are opposite sides of the spectrum.

At the very least you're going to have to learn to live with minor paint imperfections, "pin stripes", and the fact that your undercarriage will never, ever be clean again unless you regularly put your truck on a 4 post lift and power wash her nasty bits.

Body damage, on the other hand, is avoidable with the armor previously mentioned (bumpers, sliders, skids) and a little bit of care choosing where you off road. If you go on a "body damage likely" rock crawling trail where people are bringing rock buggies and you don't want a crunched fender, well, shit dude. As my late grandma would say "You can do what you want, but I don't wanna hear any boo-hoo'in!"

Also FYI you don't want to have armor extending down behind your wheels like mudflaps, because it will get caught.

the pin striping is the worst... lots of waxing before you go out is the only way to help them slide off. I would recommend a wider skid plate like @Pelfreybilt I have the stock one and it left my LCA mounts exposed.

I think it is the best. Wear it with honor and show it with pride, like a 36D chest of a Newport Beach blonde woman. It shows you use your stuff :) Then again your office parking attendant might wonder what you do on weekends that your 90K LX is all pinstriped to death :D
