As someone who every once in awhile needs to drive to Minneapolis, a armored tacoma would be great!

...But did they do the A/C drain mod fix as part of the armoring package?

Mechanix runs sales all the time, great 'disposable' gloves. They don't last long but cheap enough to rotate few pairs. Seamless palm that it touchscreen compatible is nice too.

If you don't mind spending a bit more, Lowa makes solid boots and sneaker-cut boots.
I never understood the Salomon shoe and boot hype. I kill any Salomon model in less than 5-6 months of civilian use and I'm not even 200lbs. Lowas last me over a year usually doing over 30 miles over 4-5 days a week. Merrell is great too but a bit on heavy side.

As someone who has armored their Taco in the form of front & rear bumpers, sliders, and full steel skids I have to say if I was going for heavy ballistic armor I would go for something beefier. This engine is pretty gutless with the extra weight, and the frame supports are made out of paper mache. I would pick something more substantially built with a beefier engine.
