Do you have plans to cut the flap that looks like it interferes with your second battery?
I'm worried about the warranty being voided due to any modifications, but at the same time was hoping to use the bolts that get covered by the flap

I’m amazed that you were able to do this in 3 1/2 hours. That would’ve taken me all weekend!

I’m 54 years old and grew up with a lot of cars that had rubber floors. They were always a cinch to keep clean and I always wondered why people wanted plush carpet instead.
Bravo to Armorlite for all their work on this project!

What would a warranty really do? How would you claim the product failed? You got your truck wet, and went overboard and got it really wet? It’s kinda like a wetsuit… it will keep you warm, but the water can still kill you.

Our warranty its pretty good, the reason we say if you cut it that voids the warranty.. that is because if you cut it and then say it doesn't fit because you can't follow instructions or follow up with customer service we don't want it to become our expense.
But if you wear out the grain texture from normal use, muddy feat and sand and trail use, we will take care of it.. because it doesn't happen really at all. This TPO is super tough stuff.
If you install it and something isn't fitting, and you have a stock application and we cannot get it to work with you emailing pictures back and forth and talking it out and are still unhappy (and freaking respectful), we are going to help you out for sure.

Cotton or polyester fiber insulation is for sure the best at absorbing sound. Butyl or other stick on deadeners, are best for absorbing vibration and resonance, and offer very little extra performance when used excessively over small strategically placed pieces. A heavy barrier like an eva is a good reflector and is best when paired on top with a fiber insulator. So our TPO floor acts as a good barrier, especially when paired with the stock fiber and our poly fiber, this is going to be good for road noise and heat. Your cabin experience is going to be a trade off. Our flooring is more reflective of the noise that is in the cabin hitting it from the top, but its going to prevent noise from entering from the bottom. If you have loud tires, you normally see the most benefit, but if you have air noise from bad weatherstripping or accessory lights or roof racks, our floor isn't going to help much with that.
Everyone grades NVH as a simple DB number but its more complicated than that. Because noise exists on many frequencies, and you can have a serious reduction on one and not another resulting in a less impressive average, but maybe that frequency level is what was bothering you.

Also "Big Butyl" will all tell you more is better, thicker better, double it up, BUY MORE. But trust me, my company makes sound Absorbers for Cadillac, Mercedes Bentley, etc. And if Butyl was so great it would be the key player, guess what, its not. If you have a big flat panel that resonates sound when you tap on it, place a small piece of butyl in the middle of it then test again, that is what it is best at.

I am also not a fan of foam, we have tested it and it just doesn't perform. But its cheap, easy to make, produce and install as a peel and stick.

    NOTE:
Please do not add any extra thick insulation or deadener under our floor, single layer 1.8-2mm like Dynamat, Killmat is great, BUT keep some distance from the seat mounts, outside trim, and the recessed area where our drain plugs go to aid proper installation.
Really important don't add anything to your floor within 2" of the drain plug holes we use to make sure the plugs can click into the sheet metal.

    Just getting started.
How much does the manual affect the fitting? Is it just a matter of adjusting the holes for the transmission or does it require an entire rework of the molds?

It would be great to have some general guidance on what might be next in line.

    3rd gen MT?
    2nd gen?
Universal that we could attempt to adapt for first gen Tundra (where I want this the most)?

We are going to survey to quantify the demand for other cabs and generations, and look into the similarities between the cabs on the 3rd gen, we developed our tool for this 3rd gen model to be modular and may be able to accommodate with a reasonable investment a back half for the tool to cover access cab. But IHS data tells us that the 4 door auto trans dominated the volume of sales so if we don't do well enough with that model we won't have much business case to invest more.

Right now it is too much of a mystery to say it works, what we know is most floor mats have different part numbers, it may be something the customer can trim them selves, we may make a water jet edit and sell as a different part number, or it will require a interchangeable insert to be made and installed into our tool, as I said in the previous quote the MT models did not represent a huge population when we explored Toyota sales numbers.
3rd Gen MT is going to be the simplest and next exploration.
2nd Gen requires a business case, and new tools, its still on the table though
Armorlite will never be universal. Part of what makes us better than floor mats or vinyl floors is we fit tight, have a lot of form that does not deform. Each floor is developed with a tight tolerance for each specific model.

Please I don't want anyone to feel left out, I know the feeling when you want a part and your vehicle or configuration is excluded, it sucks. But Armorlite is a brand of a larger Tier 1 Auto Supply company, even though we are made up of enthusiasts in our small group and throughout the parent company, when we go present a business case to pay for all the R&D and the tooling we have to tell them how we are going to repay for those tools and turn a profit. They trusted us to go out on a limb to develop this product based on our personal experience, they want it to win with us. Our hope is that Tacoma folks love this, it blows up and we cover every configuration and generations, new and old. 20 years ago, I had a 1st gen Bronco, and I spray lined the floors, I thought it was cool as hell to rinse dirt right out, but it was noisy and unbearably hot. I would have been very stoked to have this then, but I want everyone to have it now.

My point was that it’s a wear item, and y’all’s company has been making them for years, so not much to worry about. I understand what you’re saying about voiding the warranty by cutting more than I did before, but when is the manual trans gonna be ready? :deadhorse:

As a MT guy, I've gotten used to it. I wanted a center console trim ring from MESO. I wanted to swap my baby cup holders for the oversized ones. I wanted a set of 3D floor mats made for the MT dead peddle.

I know for myself there'd be no harsh feelings towards the company if the MT wasn't feasible. It's a payoff that I accept to beable to kick a clutch still, especially when MTs are dying off.

One of my favorite companies, Raceseng, who's primary products were shift knobs, closed their doors in December because they saw major changes coming to the automotive industry. I believe they saw an end coming to the manuals and shifters becoming dial knobs.

Yep, I get it. Easier to justify it with more people asking though, so I figured I'd throw my hat in the ring.

If you ever need a 3G Access cab to test with in harsh Canadian conditions, you know who to message
