My contact at the dealership sent me a picture of the screen - I'm keeping it in the file folder for my truck to document the birth and life of "Odie" - the name for my truck (a play off the military's Olive Drab (OD) paint)

Probably a bit tinfoil hatish - the colored areas are the last digits of my VIN. Edited to put in today's - realized I loaded the older one.

I’m writing this from my wife’s 2019 4Runner and the AT is painful to drive (Not currently driving though). I wish they had a MT option in it.

If the 4-Runner still had the manual as an option I would have gone with the AG Pro. I was working with Toyota International in trying to get a LC-76 into the country that I could license - Land Cruiser that is still all mechanical and runs a diesel five speed manual with the lever to go into 4-wheel. They still make them for Africa and parts of Europe but do you think we can get one - no way.

Thanks Mark, I am excited as I am sure you are. Already have equipment ordered for the bed to adapt for hunting and camping in the high country (I live at 9k as it is).

Mike, I have a bunch of things sitting on my workbench for mine, as well. And, the tonneau cover is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.

Got a phone call confirmation yesterday from my dealer - delivery for my AG is Wednesday February 12. Ordered back in December but it looks like the AG run is rolling off quickly to meet all the pre-orders. In my hunt for details over the last few weeks I did see where the last date anyone can Pre-Order a Tacoma is mid-May for 2020.

That was my experience, my dealer tried to trade for an AG MT and couldn't get it. Fortunately the other dealer that had it is also near by so I ended up buying it there.

You are dead on, I ordered mine back in December, I was given the build date and delivery of February 12. On Saturday February 08, my sales person called to inform me the GM traded mine to a dealership for a Tundra AG Pro, apparently one of the dealership employees backed the Tundra into another vehicle when taking it back for some modifications while the customer was finishing the paperwork. Needless to say I tracked my original Tacoma AG MT Pro and found it in an adjoining state with a $6K higher price point. My new build date is next week with a projected delivery of mid-March. My sales person tried several dealerships to replace mine earlier but no one wants to trade or sell the AG Tacoma. Several dealerships within 500 miles of me are selling them $5-7K over MSRP and GETTING it.

That was a sh*tty thing to do. Trade an ordered vehicle out from under some one. Guess the damaged Tundra was a little karma coming back to bite them in the ass.

TRD-Ed, I have to admit I have mixed feelings about it not to mention the initial disappointment but in the end I look at it this way. The AG Pro is becoming a limited edition, with ridiculous resale value (if that is important). I am getting a better deal due to this situation, good for me. The delivery date is actually close to the original date I was given back in early January, so not too far off my original planning. And finally, put ourselves in the customers shoes who special ordered their AG Pro Tundra only to have in hand before the accident at the dealership. I didn't post to complain but to give an example of the demand the AG's are presenting in the market place. I will get mine when it is time, heck with all the snow we are getting I would not be able to complete my mods right away. Headed back out to plow out from last nights 10" of the new white fluffy stuff, we are at 72" of white stuff thus far, which is great for us. The more snow the less fire season we have.

My build date is 8 days away. I keep checking the pre-vin every morning in hopes of it coming back as an invalid vin.
No such luck today. :( Maybe tomorrow.

If it makes you fell any better, I never seem to have mine go invalid and my build date happened 1 week earlier than scheduled. Maybe you'll get lucky also.

I always thought magnetic grey was the best color but must admit, the green is the coolest and best looking. I’m a bit jealous. Congratulations, you guys have nice rides.

To be honest with my TWO orders (don't ask) my dealer never gave me a temp vin but he did provide the actual vin which I have been tracking. My build date is the 27th of this month. From there your dealer will get more info on delivery timing. My first order was a few weeks earlier than planned but other circumstances prevented delivery for me.

Does your VIN have a letter in any of the last 6 digits? If it does, it's a temp VIN. From my understanding, VINS are not assigned until the vehicle frame enters the assembly line.

This was my temporary VIN: 5TFCZ5AN6LX03B179. The actual VIN is the same until the 7th digit which became a 4 (5TFCZ5AN4LXXXXXXX) and the last 6 digits changed to all numbers.
