I’ve gone a couple times. Haven’t explored too much there as it is horribly mapped and I was trying to avoid getting anymore trail rash on the truck. I was surprised how well the stock tires hold up out there. Still really fun tho.

The maps have to be taken as more of a general area kind of thing. Yeah, it's amazing how well the stock setup does off-road on these trucks, still I'm looking at lifting it and tires for clearance, the Jeeps with 37's and 40"+ tires run full throttle through the mud and rut everything out and make it hard to not get high centered.

I'm looking at armoring mine out with rock sliders and front and rear bumpers, to keep the damage down; have you thought about any armor?

I put on sliders about a month after I got the truck. Which I tested out at Bridgeport. Currently looking into the cbi covert front bumper and then eventually a rear.

I wonder why there are so many ruts...

    Awesome - Congratulations @CaboDawgs Kim!

How was the drive down Baja? I have done it some 8+ times - but the last time was some 15+ years ago. My family has never done it - so I would like to do the trip with them at some point... I always had a great time exploring and camping - but I understand it is quite different now...

One time after traveling for like a week without seeing anyone, we were sitting at camp eating - and over a small hill next to us came a Land Rover Defender (complete with British plates and a British couple in their sixties... ). They were not on on instagram... (it was the mid 80's!).

The last couple of times I was in Cabo, I sailed there.

What brought you to settle there?

    Enjoy!

San Diego, they’re super popular here. I don’t really see Voodoo or Calvary though.

The drive was super easy. The 5 (on the sea of Cortez side) is paved the whole way and saves a bunch of time. It’s 2 long days of driving or 3 moderate days. We stop in Guerrero Negro, then Loreto and are in Cabo by 2.
We lived in Orange County and wanted to retire early. Cabo was the easiest place we checked out as far as becoming residents, travel back to the US, weather, etc. We jokingly call it Southern-Southern California since we live up the hill from the Costco.
We haven’t don’t much exploring because we have two old dogs but plan to now that we have the Green Taco. My husband loves surfing and now can get to a lot more out of the way spots. There are still plenty of places to go where you won’t see many people. Looking forward to seeing the stars out there.

We searched for weeks and finally found an AG auto for MSRP. We were happy with that since so many dealers are really marking them up.

According to Car and Driver in 2019 Toyota planned on producing 5000 Tacoma TRD Pros. The Limited Edition colors are some smaller percentage of that - don't ever remember seeing the number - but assume it is 1/4 or less of the total.

    https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a...rd-pro-continues-to-rule-dirt-professionally/

This year's numbers are probably lower since the factories were closed for long period and sales were lower...although they did extend production beyond when they would have normally switched to 2021s.

Saw this thread and had to make my first post on here. Bought it at the end of April and already have almost 10k miles on it! I've been loving everything about this truck so far. It took me three months to find this truck since it is a manual pro, but the patience paid off and I got this one for a really good deal at a dealership about 400 miles away from where I live. Over the summer, I've been doing small mods (bed toolbox, whip flag mount, custom shifter, tube steps), and now I'm getting ready to get a bed rack and rtt for it.

I love my MT AG, have been averaging 20.5 mpg but have to admit I only have 1652 miles on it and got it March 6. Enjoy, I have done a few modest mods as well.
