Not a fan of lunar rock personally. I'd feel jipped if I bought a color that was on a year old Rav4 model.

What you describe is what I was expecting but the way Bank of America's pre-approved loan worked is they have a list of approved dealers that can finalize all the paperwork. Oddly enough, recall the dealer MAGICALLY go me a better rate? That was also thru BofA.

Summary:

• Dealer said 3.99% was best they could do
• BofA pre-approved me online in 5 minutes at 2.24%. Dealer said bring it in, we can process it
• When I got to finance guy, he pulled 2.09% out of his behind, also through BofA

I would just suggest you are 100% clear on what your alternative loan place requires to complete the loan, so when the dealer calls you telling you your truck is there, you don't panic like I did. The credit union I also applied with at the same time as BofA online said I'd get a call back in 24 hours. They called back a few days ago. 12 days later.

Got it, and I appreciate the advice. I think I’m just starting to freak out a little now that the time of delivery is getting close (after 3 months of waiting) and I don’t want to feel screwed, esp since this is my first time buying from a dealer.
On a good/side note, I just found out that the credit union that gave the preapproved rate does work with the dealer I’m going through, so it should be pretty simple to present the rate to the dealer if they try to give me a higher rate.

 

Hope you have better luck getting yours. I ordered mine in January and was told today it now has been pushed back until the end of July.

 

It seems like I will, but only time will tell. I placed my deposit beginning of March, and salesman said it arrived from vessel yesterday and awaiting freight to the dealer now. Build completion was end of April, if that matters.

A freshly washed AG in the bright sun gives off a great hue of color, one different from that on a cloudy day. That's what I love about the AG color: it's like a chameleon, in a good way.

 

Well after 7 months, i said good-bye to my AG taco today, i will miss it but was glad to see the new owner get it & how excited he was. It will be in good hands.
