Army Green thread: let’s keep it green!

Put a few goodies on today, got the trd skidplate on, painted it Matte Black and waiting on toughskinz letters to show up. Also swapped out the chrome side mirror blinker lights for black smoked out sequential led ones, really digging them... much brighter than photo or daylight show. Also swapped out all interior lighting and license plate light with led.. much better. Got smoked out led tail lights on the way but fed ex has had the package sitting at the same spot for 4 days, 30 miles from my house!

 

got my windows ceramic tinted Friday... took a drive through the smoke in Southern Oregon today.

Still not rolling windows down... but now it's to keep the smoke out.

 

All cleaned and pretty for a minute. I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing water spots... it's making me crazy. Hopefully I'll get a better way and routine to keep it nice. Worried the paint will be trash within a year, stressing me out lol.

 

Love it! I'll be getting ceramic tint soon as well!

Put some tufskinz love on the skid plate and pro grille. Also added these blacked out led tail lights, sooo much better than stock.

Love those tail lights dude. I was gonna get a pair but not sure how Legal they are. Any problems with passing inspections or law enforcement?

 

Thanks!! Idaho isn't very stringent with inspections, not up north anyway... I actually haven't driven with them yet so haven't tested the cops yet, but I doubt it'll be an issue

 

Down here in Texas in my neck of the woods they look for an excuse to pull someone over. Was hoping to see if anyone had issues with these.

 

This. Had the same thing happening with water spots until we put in a water softener. Our water source is extremely hard well water.

Does anybody know if the army green is a single stage paint like super white? I swear I read somewhere that all non metallic colors for toyota were single stage. I'm super close to putting a deposit on an army green off road but the paint quality is the only thing holding me back.

 

My understanding is the only Super White (040) is a single stage. My 2020 AG definitely has clear coat over the paint.

 

Awesome, I've never seen one in person. How durable is the paint overall? My MGM has been fantastic despite all the complaints of bad toyota paint.

 

I can tell you, because I know for a fact, that Super White is a single stage color.
Black used to be, but to my knowledge, it isn't anymore.

 

I line in the northeast and have had my AG Pro since early February of 2020. Granted, I try to keep it fairly clean - run it through a touchless carwash every 2 or 3 weeks in winter to blow off the salt and hit it with Express Wax after every washing, but it looks fantastic. Took this a few weeks ago.

 

Hit it with a ceramic coating and you'll turn heads. Best Tacoma color IMO.

 

Ordered all the AG chrome delete items from @MESO today! Can’t wait to get those in place!

Also, taking a page from the Meso book of customization and ordered a roll of Multicam vinyl to wrap a few interior pieces and maybe more.

 

Taco looks pristine! Is this professional ceramic coat or one of those spray/wax on ceramic coatings?
