TRD Tacoma x Redeye

finally got my green tacoma, added suspension lift (Billy 6112/5160), rims, tires (KO2s), and tonneu cover(Retrax Pro XR). I’m so happy with how it turned out!

 

It did, those are the factory installed (?) "Black-Textured Step Tube" side steps. Not a huge fan but they will do until I replace with some rock rails down the road. With my little Hobbit legs anything helps!

 

Does it look like a manufacturing issue or an install problem. Was considering the ARE or Leer caps.

 

How hard is it to get off the vinyl?

 

Looks awesome, what size tires did you go with??

 

I'm really just here for the @Devious6 welcome message that I've been dreaming about ever since I found this thread last year.

Just picked it up last week: 2021 TRD Off-Road DCSB, premium & tech packages.

This color is incredible, it looks different at every angle and shifts from black to bright depending on the light. I've loved it since I first saw it in person back in 2020 with the pros.

Already debadged it and slapped on a Bakflip F1, as well as some black OEM tail lights with MESO's Total Tail Stage 1. Planning on some RCI rock sliders and the PRO headlight upgrade. Anything else I should be looking at?

I still take a trip out to the garage sometimes just to look at my 2020 - AG is just a gorgeous color.

 

Anyone have an access cab TRDOR?

I'm thinking about trying to get one for my next vehicle, but they seem very rare for some reason. Looks like I'd have to out an order in on one.

 

Found on here! Looks like its got the TRD lift and some 265/70/17s. I think I am def going with matte gray over bronze now.

 

Well dealer is refunding me 100% and taking the cap back. Kind of sucks that I waited 4mths for this. You guys have any recommendations for round 2 with a cap? Maybe try Leer or a midrise 180 since I have the long bed. The cab height cap on DCLB make it looks really long. Im thinking the mid rise might give it a better profile.

 

Yeah man that’s sharp! Think I just decided what wheels I’ll get to replace my factory OR wheels. I love factory stuff over aftermarket so this is right up my alley! Thanks! Be sure to post once you get yours!

 

Dang! Glad you made it out okay. Hopefully the moose is okay too. Did you by any chance get the chrome tailgate insert? I'm debating whether to get it or not.

 

I am very fortunate, national Executive at the Austin Airport had a brand new (180 mile ) TRD sport Army Green! Looks like this one has the tech package with leather, JBL and sunroof, bed extender , PPF, LEDs, predator steps, and black emblem with overlays. Doesn’t seem like a rental spec
