Got my footwell light kit today - hopefully I can get it installed tomorrow. I went with Red lights to match the MESO Dual Maps and Dome light.

Installed mine yesterday. The red looks awesome. I failed to take pics dammit. The most difficult part was fitting the connectors under the pillar cover. Took some manipulating, and had to cut a few clips, but finally got it all to fit.

the one with the girl? i did. her cable looked a bit longer. The clip that marries with the factory clip on mine, had a wire about 2in long, which didnt give me much flexibility to nestle it with the rest of the cables. Had to do some shifting, and eventually, I got it all snug, while still keeping the airbag unencumbered. Speaking of that. Halfway through my install I realized i forgot to disconnect the battery. I went ahead and finished, partially expecting to wake up in the hospital after getting knocked out by the bag. never happened luckily.

the lights look awesome. Since you are going with the red like me, coupled with the meso red map and dome lights, it lights the cab up pretty damn cool. I actually want to get the rear footwells now. I did adjust the low setting. On the lowest power, it just wasnt bright enough, so I increased it just a smidge.

Great info, thanks!! I was debating on the rears - might add them once I see a few installs. Seems like the wires could be just a tad longer.

I was starting to prep to put my footwell lights in and happened on a Black/Army Green Tacoma coin bucket applique - never even knew it had come with the stack of them I got with the box. So, I popped the lid and used some of the Army Green vinyl wrap on the lid and stuck on the applique. It's the little things in life that make owning this truck so awesome. And there is no better color than Army Green!!

My Taco came in Wednesday, been driving it for a couple of days now and it is AWESOME! It's crazy how much different the color is based on the lighting. Took off the air dam within a few hours too.

Days like this I dont regret one bit, getting the truck ceramic coated. Quick/light wash and rinse, total of 15 minutes, and it goes right back to that ceramic shine. I barely got any water on my shoes.

I got the VLED footwell lights in today. I need to adjust the dimmer setting after it gets darker but they came out really nicely. That harness cable was a bit of a bear, though.

Hello everyone. Am in the process of going from a 2017 TRD OR in Magnetic Gray and debating joining the green team. One thing that worries me is how this paint will hold up over time to scratches and swirls etc. I know more flat paints are generally far more prone to this than a metallic. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated!
