No cutting the bumper at all. You do still have to cut the fender flares on the front side but that was easy. Just mock up the bumper caps in place and you'll see where to cut the flares.
It took roughly 4 months to ship to me and there wasn't a sale at the time. I was prompted to order the bumper because within the first 2 weeks of owning the truck I almost hit 3 deer and 2 turkeys. It was time. Lol

Looks good. I don't have deer or turkeys in my zip code, but do have a lot of homeless. Maybe I should get one...

I do….. just wanted something with a little better sound. I thought it added a little horsepower but that may be all in my head. It’s definitely the best looking exhaust option on the market- IMO. The double TRD etching in the exhaust tip to me is a very cool touch. I mean what’s

Hey Army Green folks - looking more and more like I’ll be joining Team AG soon with a 2022 AG Off-Road. :) (Have a hold on a Barcelona Red that’s been mysteriously trapped at port for months and it’s looking like my second hold, an AG, is going to arrive first.)

Still haven’t seen an AG in person (narrowly missed a Tundra in AG being delivered at the dealership, and been scanning streets and parking lots for weeks to no avail Lol). So that feels strange but it looks good in pictures and I find generally Tacoma colors look even better in person.

Some questions for anyone who wants to share their experience:

Anyone have one where it’s hot? I live in southern Arizona and it’s super hot here. Black is pretty much a no-go color for me because it’s just too hot. But I can’t tell from pictures how dark the AG really is - sometimes it looks super dark but it seems like in the bright sun it actually doesn’t look very dark at all. I’ve always had white/silver cars in the past but actively wanted something more interesting this time. I’ll obviously be giving it a dark tint, and it’ll have the remote start which will help immensely.

How has it held up in the sun in terms of fading? I’m going to be parking it out in the elements almost all the time, with the bright desert sun beating down on it. (Only option at the moment.)

How hard is it to keep looking clean? I’m actually pretty okay with my truck looking dirty, so just curious what the upkeep is like if you want it to look nice.

Has anyone done ceramic coating on their AG? I’m seriously consider doing it as soon as my truck gets delivered. Seems like it could help protect it from the elements? And/or make it easier to keep looking clean? If you’ve done it, how has it impacted your truck?

Thanks for any and all input!

I'm in San Diego and have had mine in the desert a few times during the summer/fall, so in the 90's and 100's. Any car is going to get hot over 100 degrees! I don't feel like it has been any warmer than other colored vehicles I have owned. I would not worry about that at all.

For fading I don't think any of us have owned it long enough to experience fading but I will let original year owners comment.

Ceramic coating is over my pay grade/low priority but the pics I have seen and feedback from others who have done it love it. If aesthetics is at or near the top of your list I would do it.

No fading on my 2020 AG Pro - wash by hand and wax. No ceramic coat but I know others here have done it.

2020 was the first year in AG for Tacomas. that's not as long ago as it may seem. Nobody here can really give you a long-term assessment on color fading.
There hasn't(to my knowledge) been any reports of widespread paint issues like Toyota has with their Super White.
Take care of it like you normally would living in the desert sun and it most likely won't be any worse, or better, than any other color.

Still have many pages to go in this thread, but wanted to jump ahead and say it looks like I will be part of the pack around end of the month. My 2nd dealer has me earmarked for a AG Sport Prem MT. I originally was looking for a MGM OR, but I have been waiting for like 9 months (1st dealer was a bust, engaged 2nd dealer recently). Was not sure on AG but saw a Sport at Lowes today and that pretty much locked it in on color. Looking to black it out some, but otherwise loved it. Hope to be posting updates soon!

Maybe a dumb question but why do some current model year AG trucks have chrome bumpers and others have bumpers that match the body color (green)?

The painted ones have the rear cross traffic alert sensors mounted in them and chrome do not. I believe the reflections in the chrome make it impossible to use but I’m not absolutely sure. Seems like I read this somewhere.
