I really like the upgrades! Just curious did you happen to consider the Meso Custom replacement lights as well as the VLed? If so what made you go with the VLeds. Thanks.

Thanks man! I did consider the Meso Customs map lights, but when i was ready to buy, the V2 was out of stock. I went with VLed because I had installed some on my old Jeep TJ and I really liked them. They are kind of expensive, but they are fantastic and their customer service is top notch.

LOL. I got mine in November of 2020 and saw nothing for the longest time. A few months ago I started seeing another AG in my area. I like looking at it but there is something to being the only one with such a great looking truck in town. :p

That’s right! Apparently it can be mounted on a variety of platforms. But L3Harris technologies choose a Tacoma. Their website shows it blowing up stuff.

I didn’t see that option on the accessory list. Maybe they don’t add those to Lunar Rock, AG’s only.

I know the ignition and 4WD buttons require disassembly of that dash panel, BUT how difficult are the climate control rings? Can they be snapped on in place or does it require disassembly also?

You have to pop the trim panels off ( center, left and right) and then cut the tabs that hold the OEM rings in place - then pop in the new ones. Not hard really if you watch the videos.

Oh damn. I just took a tiny screw driver and popped the trim off. No tabs, unless I screwed it up

I think they heat the plastic pins to melt them so they stay in place. CUtting them from the back reduces the possibility of breaking them or of scratching the trim panel...but it looks like your way works, too.

@RWGT22AG this is how I swamped the rings. Super easy and quick. I had mine done in 15min.
