Watch how the hue changes as the light changes. It never gets old.

'22 OR DCLB checking in for duty. had the truck now for 2 and half months and can't stop driving this big green Taco- enuf room for a technical and a full squad. My pooch was like...hurry up and sign the papers!

The trucks inaugural trip was helluva doozy, also. I was up at the Mokolumne river in Norcal for the 4th July weekend. I was one of the lucky few trapped by the Electra Fire...had to shelter in place the PG&E pump house. That story (with pics and vids) is for another thread... seriously lost one of my 9 lives that day. CaLFIRE saved my rig that day...not to mention my scaley worthless hide.

A few more from my trip, theres a quick write up in the 'trip reports' section with more details.
This is my first tacoma and I'm beyond impressed with the offroad capabilities so far.

I love Dolly Sods, my family has been going there for years. The Canaan Loop is cool too, how was the pin stripping situation on the trail? It can get pretty overgrown at times. I'll be up that way late October.

Rainy day but I did manage to put my bug shield on the hood. I'm not impressed with the quality of AVS products anymore this has scratches and messy mounting holes right out of the package. They used to be a good company. I had the dealer pull the chin strap off when they did the tires & TRD lift so that makes room for a TRD skid plate. I see this is going to be a work in progress!

I didn't get any of the 'nails on a chalk board' kinds of sounds that I would expect to leave real bad pinstripes. but there were portions where the vegetation was making contact. I haven't done a thorough wash yet to examine things. Some motivated individuals could make short work of the veg with some machetes.

If you do the Canyon Rim Road watch out for a washout 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through. It almost made me turn around. It is do-able in a stock tacoma with some route planning.

Only 'damage' I did was rubbing the paint off my hitch receiver on one rock.
