Ah man yeah the water in the lip sucks haha. Happens every time I wash it, there’s a little puddle in every rim. Never had an issue with vibration in the rain. Maybe your wheel balance weights are off balance or something. Vibration just in the rain is strange.

I forgot to add, I use compressed air or a towel to soak up the puddles in the rims after a wash or rain (if I’m motivated enough)

It does lmao, yeah i got them rebalanced and it got worse. Guess i’m gonna have to go back again so we’ll see. It’s likely not because of that i’ve only really had them in the rain since it’s rained for like the last week in PGH so i thought maybe the puddling could be a possibility

Nah I guarantee the puddles aren’t causing vibrations. I’ve had mine in the snow and rain and never had an issue with vibrations.

Any vibration in the rain or otherwise with stock rims prior to the sweet upgrade to Methods?

I have zero problems painting. Done multiple vehicles before. I plan on getting wheels and tires eventually but till then I gotta do something with that 2 tone wheel. Those lams are cool but I think I’ll do a flat black. Don’t want gloss. Truck has blackout package so wheels will be fine. After summer season I plan on new tires anyway so might spring for som wheels too. I wanna see what I can do with these for now. Thanks for that link so I can see a visual on them

No no issue before. I’m going to call tomorrow and see if they can do a road force balance

Yeah that’s weird bud. Definitely hit up a specialist (sounds like ya are). Good luck and report back with whatever they find (absolutely curious).

I did it and it is much better. The brushed aluminium just stands out too much.

That settles it. Gotta do this as a placeholder until I can trick my wife into thinking I need new wheels.

    Looks good.

Apparently i need hub centric rings. Do you run these on yours?

What tires are you running? They could be the culprit

No idea what those are so I imagine “no” is my answer about hub rings. I had a place mount my tires to my rims but I’ve since rotated my own tires and never seen any additional rings or anything. This case keeps getting more curious. Really strange the very common rims aren’t working smoothly for you

EDIT: I’m running the stock Kevlar wrangler tires on my rims (until they wear out), for awareness

I haven’t heard of them either till now. Craziness. I reached out to Custom Wheel House that makes the method wheels so we’ll see what they think

I’m running Mickey Thompson ATs. According to Discount Tire they look good. Might need to find somewhere to get a second opinion

Someone on another thread i’m talking to thinks they are balancing them as hub centric and then mounting them as lug centric. I’m pretty new with all this it’s my first set of aftermarket wheels but makes sense.

Have you had anything done since you got them? Alignment or anything?
