Didn't realize @Discount Tire had an account here. That's usually where I buy tires from. Do they have promo codes for TW forum members to use or any deals for us?

Thank you for your continued support of Discount Tire, @deusxanime. There are no member discounts running at this time but we do guarantee the lowest out the door price on all the products we carry. If a competitor had a cheaper advertised out the door price, we'll do our best to beat it

what backspace are those wheels? Did you have any rubbing? After driving around town looking for steep parking lot entrances etc I was able to get some rubbing going on the 285 I have now, which I was hoping to avoid since I don’t want to trim at this point in time on the truck. Was thinking going back down to 265/75/16.

I am running the 17x8.5 -10 offset 4.30 back spacing SCS wheels. I am running Dobinson UCA's adjusted to 4.5+ degrees of caster and with the liner upfront heated, I did not have any rubbing (forward or reverse) with mild off-roading. I am also lifted about 2.5 inches front and rear. If you really push the truck off road I can certainly see how you can rub the cab mount with this size and offset.

Finally ran into some rubbing with the 285/75/16 BFG AT2 on the mud flaps so I took them off. Kinda bummed because I wanted to keep the flaps to prevent mud being thrown up the side but oh well. Discount Tire wasn’t really wanting to help out and switch to 265/75 which is no biggy because they did warn me.

I’ll probably live with it for now and change down the road when funds allow.

It feels like I found the only MT AG taco on the eastern seaboard. Very happy with it so far. Cali Raised Rock sliders are inbound and I'm going to be going with a hidden winch set up. My shoes will be 255 85 16s when I get around to it. I also used the door sill protectors very cheap and invaluable upgrade. Will be sending updates soon. I am a big bushcrafter here in North Carolina and I'm excited to see where she takes me!

What about getting a nice cap for the back? It would be more useful than a SUV in my opinion. You’ll have a lot more configuration options. Maybe get it carpeted and it would be pretty comfy for the dogs back there and then they wouldn’t get the inside of your SUV dirty:thumbsup:
You can take off the cap when you need it to be a truck:mudding:
Now I am a little biased since I love mine!:D

Just got a new 2020 Tacoma Off Road DCSB Quicksand and want a cap. Thinking about Army Green, assuming there is no difference between a Pro and Off Road as far as fit goes. Anyone with an opinion on how that might look? Any experience with non-matching colored intentionally done. Going for a subtle military look.

I think it can be done but I would find a way to accent it somehow on the sand truck. Maybe use some OD Green decals, or a way to make it look intentional. Like a green star to go for your military look it something.

I did think about a star on the door, but that is getting a bit too aggressive, particularly as I am a non-Veteran. Not out to steal anyone's valor Do like the idea of some OD Green decals of some sort. Will be looking for those.

I'm a Sergeant in the Army bro and I wouldn't mind at all. Having a military style vehicle even with a star is no biggie to me or anyone I know. As long as it's not awards, badges, etc. We don't give a shit and the tribute is appreciated. Etsy has some pretty cool Taco decals and they come in various colors including green I would give it a look.

bro, why you throwing rank around? What, you gonna show us your badges next?

like master Sergeant of the army mentioned. Put your stars on bro. No one gives a crap. Now rank or badges, that’s a different story.

Congratulations on the truck!! How can you resist Army Green???!!! And I agree with you wholly about the stars - nothing wrong with celebrating the military whether you're a veteran or not!!
