The guy thats making these bars is Brandon at Avid Off Road. His em is...

    avidoffroad@hotmail.com

Really great guy to deal with, he can hook you up with any kind of light tabs you want on the bar. Reallllly fast on responding to em's. And the work is top notch - even my powdercoater was really impressed as he hardly ever sees a 1pc solid bar like this.

Can these be used with the skidplate? Black stock one? Silver TRD one?

^ looks really good, can't wait until mine is coated - I already talked to Brandon and am hoping he does a nice rear guard that will go over the oem bumper and leave the hitch open like the Daystar 'did'....don't know why they discontinued it...here is what it looks like...

Brandon and I looked at an '07 Tacoma today, to see if he could figure out how to duplicate the rear bumper that was made by DayStar. If there's interest, let me kow, and I'll see if he want's to fab one that's close to the one in the pic above. Keep in mind, it won't be exact, since we don't want to step on legal toes, but it'll be close.

I want :D - also the rear guard would have to tuck in under the bumper a little. As you can see from the daystar it wouldnt offer any protection from anything going under - just head on

I don't know how you'd get a torque wrench in there, but we usually go to the spec of "really f-in tight".

Keep in mind, that if we're gonna keep the stock hitch, the bar will be mostly for looks. There's really no way to mount it, and keep the stock bumper/hitch, and triangulate the bar to the frame. But, it would look kick-a$$!!

would he be able to make them with a hitch support also ? it shouldnt be much additional work and would give some added protection to those of us that dont use trailers alot

I don't understand the question. What do you mean by hitch support? Looking at the bumper, I don't think the hitch needs any support, it's probably stronger than anything back there.

Like I said, this bumper add-on would be mainly just for the looks. If you want protection, you'll have to ditch the stock bumper set-up all together.
