    The stock front suspension was replaced by Bilstein racing shocks, which added a 1.3-inch lift in height as well as well as a different type of Bilstein shocks on the rear. The stock wheels were replaced with 17-in TRD Black beadlock-style wheels and BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires, turning the FJ Cruiser from a sporty-looking SUV to a serious off-road machine. The stock 4.0-liter V6 engine gets the addition of a TRD Twin Vortex System supercharger that features a large air-to-water intercooler. This single upgrade add 30hp bringing the FJ Cruiser up to 345hp with 340 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,500 rpm. Add in a custom exhaust to add some noise to go with all that power and you have a truly capable off-road contender.

    Supercharger upgrade added 30hp and took it to 345hp? Interesting considering the stock 4.0 in it currently is rated to what, 260hp? Curious to see the numbers on a 2010+ 4Runner

    The superchargers usually aren't bad on the highway. A local member was getting 20 MPG with his supercharged double cab 4x4, 3" lift and 32" A/Ts. In town he said that was another story but if he held his speed and kept his foot out of it, he'd get good mileage.

    Not saying you are wrong, but that doesn't sound right. Superchargers are constantly boosting, so thet need extra fuel all the time. I guess they could have tuned it to run lean at lower engine load.
