I'll catch em if theyare weak for stardust and exp, but if they are strong enough to break out of a pokeball, ( My rule is 150cp or below is catchable) then I'll leave em alone, unless I really need that last bit of stardust or exp. Speaking of that, I'm now less than 2k from level 22.

Keeps happening to me. I keep trying for another Jolteon comma but it keeps giving me fucking Flareons. And right now I am extremely surprised that my phone spelled those Pokemon names right because my phone's retarded and apparently it thinks I talk like a hillbilly. And plus, what phone knows Pokemon names?

Lately it's been so random at what pops out and what doesn't. I'll have a 50 Pidgey pop out a couple times but a 160 Pidgey get stuck in my first attempt. I've also noticed that the number doesn't matter as much as the color circle around it. I've seen 200+ pokies with green/yellow circles that go in 1 ball but then seen 75-150ish pokies with dark orange circles that are borderline impossible to catch.

All of ours since that's all we talk about anymore :anonymous:

For y'all struggling with the Eevee evolves - are you renaming prior evolves back to their original name before trying a new one? In your case, did you rename your Sparky back to Jolteon before naming another Eevee Sparky and trying the evolve?

I read that the smaller the circle when holding the poke ball, the greater chance of catching it. Hard to verify since most that pop up for me are green circle sub 50 so they are easy to catch anyways.

Yeah I've seen it both ways that having the smaller circle is better and having a big circle is better but I don't actually know. They pop out of everything it seems. I think also getting the "great" or "nice" is supposed to help too.

Smaller the circle the better, that is how you get an "excellent"

Too poor to list anything interesting.
They've done something. Not sure if they wanted it more "realistic" or thought the players were catching too many. But between the odd new camera angles, slow "cut" scenes when trying to catch, having the AI jump/knock back balls more, the whole nice/great/excellent bonuses help to catch, I think something is very wrong with this update.

Oh. And I've still not been receiving bonuses for nice/great/excellent catches. However, on occasion, I will get those bonuses or a curve ball bonus even when I toss the pokeball in a straight line.

I can't wait to see what the stats are this month about how many people are still playing and how many new people they're getting

I don't get any kind of bonus for any special shot. I just learned about curveballs on Friday too..

I'll keep playing regardless of the flaws because I'm obsessed but I'm sure there are people who have already quit because of it

The boni came as this: a nice bonus was awarded when the circle was almost as big as it gets and the ball hit iside the circle.
A great bonus was when the circle was about half way down and the ball hit inside.
And an excellent was when the circle was about as small as it got amd the ball hit inside.
There is no way to test this i guess since its all random algorithms and whatnot but i would wager that even a nice shot would have a higher success rate than a hit off center when the circle was the smalest.

Yeah I was thinking nice - great - excellent were the top shots and the size of the circle didn't matter as much if you couldn't get the ball inside anyway. They move so much now I'm just happy when it hits them at all

Yeah. You're supposed to receive that bonus, but like I said and posted, it doesn't award all of the time.
