I was hoping my journal had a better back log but it seems to only keep about 50 entries. I wanted to get an accurate summary on how my day has gone but I will try and do it from memory...

So after my strong morning downtown I decided to go for another bike ride down the river trail to hopefully load up on some more magikarp and maybe reclaim a gym or two. Had a small window of time to get a ride in so I was just going to do a quick 30ish min loop and see what I could strum up. Well I got to my turn around point and was working on a gym at the pokestop where I stopped. I beat it and went to quickly revive/potion my pokies from the fight before I stuck a pokie on it and I fat fingered a lucky egg. Apparently that's the only thing in this game that doesn't have a 'are you sure' pop up so I got stuck wasting an egg. I was so pissed but I decided to make the most of it and went for a mass evolve with what I had.

I evolved about 10 pidgeys, 3 rats, 1 bat, 3 weedle, 1 spearow, 1 krabby, 1 paras, 1 psyduck and 1 slowpoke. I can't confirm the number of pidgeys but I now it was at least 10 so I still hit my goal of 20 evolves in this mass but I wasn't planning on doing the psyduck or slowpoke yet. Luckily I had over 100 candies for both of them and I also happened to have 1 of each that were over 500 so I figured they would be decent and worst case I'll evolve a stronger one after I hit level 20 with all the candies I have. The fearow and golduck were new to me so I got points for that too. Took about 18 minutes to get through all that and then I had to hunt down a pidgey and a weedle because I was like 2 candies short for each to evolve one more. I found a pidgey pretty quick but the weedle was a pain. I literally found one and evolved it with 4 seconds left on my egg.



So, all that got me around 30k XP and moved me to level 20. I don't know the actual number but I ended up around 9k into level 20 and I just hit level 19 last night so I had a ways to go...

Caught a good amount of Karp again too. Almost to 300 candies. Maybe 2 more trail rides and I'll have enough for a Gyrados finally...



I also kept getting pokies that weren't on my nearby that were popping up and I wasn't using incense or near a lure. Happened twice with tentacruel. The first one was only a 43 but then this guy fell into my lap



Here's my starting line up after that train wreck. I at one point had 5 gyms at once, down to 3 now. Hopefully they hold until tomorrow morning

 

Tldr but where are those karps

 

Neuse River trail. Start at falls damn and work your way towards the soccer park and you will catch at least one every 50ish yards

 

I went back to the spot where I caught my strongest Electabuzz the other day that I thought was a nest for them and didn't see a single one but instead I caught 5 Clefairies

 

Catch?! I evovled my growlithes way too early back at like level 14 just to pad my pokedex. But I haven't seen one since so probably not that big of a deal if I can stumble on that big boy in the wild...

No. He was an evolve from my 787 I caught a few minutes ago. It's taken me a long time to find these things.

Yeah they were all over Vegas. Ever since Sunday I keep seeing them on my nearby back in my neighborhood but I am yet to stumble on one

The trail starts at the very back past the gym. So you could start there and take the trail towards the dam and catch them that way too. I also caught a Dratini back there on the trail. Lots of good gyms back there too that are usually held by weaklings because they are so far off the beat and path....I shouldn't be telling you this...scratch that from memory

 

my game finally started workin half way right tho and my 5k egg finally hatched a 302 meowth and that put me up to 34 candies so I got that goin for me I guess

 

Yep. Dratini shows up where psyducks and magikarps are. Might take my bike up there.

 

Just keep it around 10mph and you should be good. I've got going too fast and nothing will pop up, and you won't log km...
