Any tips on a bike?? Do you guys keep the phone in your pocket or some sort of mount? I was thinking turn sound effects on and have one ear bud in my ear while I ride around the trail.

was there some sort of server update, I couldn't log in. Then when I finally did, all of my settings were reset. ie music was on

 

The first time I went out on the bike I tried the pocket of my camelback (which sits near my hip) but they popped up so fast I had to keep reaching for it and it was harder to ride like that. After a few times fumbling around trying to grab it I decided just to ride with it in my hand. It's a lot easier to see what's popping up and click on what you want to catch and spin pokestops. I have the music turned off but I have the effects on so I hear one spawn which usually is loud enough to be heard over the music in my earphones...

I saw someone yesterday with a mount on their handlebar that held the phone upright facing them. That would be the ultimate bike and poke method

 

Just got back from another trail ride. Only went 9ish miles round trip because I got hit by a monsoon in the middle. It luckily hit me right when I rolled under a covered bridge so I waited it out there. It also had a pokestop

I caught 20 magikarp, 12 Psyduck, 6 slowpoke, and 4 Dratini. Most of those were never on my nearby. Really weird. Whatever Haunter evolves in to was on my nearby twice but I could never find it. Also had 2 squirrels elude me as well. I took one gym and tried another but everytime I went to battle it would say "GO" and then immediately say "error." I got fed up and left...

Hatched 2 2km eggs, a 5km egg, and my 2nd 10km egg. I think this game hates me



^from the 10km egg. I caught a stronger one in my front yard a few days ago. WTF... My first 10km egg was a 500 Omanyte. I had just caught a 400ish on my street a few days prior too

@ThunderCookies how far down do you go? Do you go as far down towards the soccer park? I need to know how far to go as if I'm starting from the soccer Park.

 

The first day I went all the way to the soccer park, it is probably 7miles from the dam where I start. I've only been going about 4miles from the dam recently for whatever reason (weather, time issues, etc). If you go all the way to the dam you'd catch a ton, if you go half way you'd still probably get a good haul too. Especially Magikarp and Psyduck...

Neuse river trail. Starts at falls dam and goes all the way to Johnston county but I just ride the part around here.

Haha a mile on a bike isn't that far. That's like a 5min coast and probably 3-4 pokies along the way
