Sweet, I took 7 this morning

 

Went to solidify my theory on the Squirtle nest but came up empty. I've read where nest are only active at certain points it may just currently not be on . I was 2 for 2 the past 2 days so I'm not ready to give up on it yet...

I did find a bulbasaur right next to it though so it wasn't a complete waste of a hunt.

Then I found this guy on my way back. Slowly building an army or Magpies...

 

So the incense in empty areas works very well. We are talking completely empty area as in an Off Road State Park. We passed one pokestop near the freeway and then had 2 pokémon wildly spawn on us inside. The nearby was always empty...

We got Abra, gloom, clafairy, oddish, magikarp, poliwag, goldeen, and other random pokémon. We drove about 10mph and they came up once a minute

 

It didn't do crap at my house.. But at the hotel I just stayed at a bunch popped up so it may be 'fixed/working better' now.

 

Did you each use one?

Not really rare pokemon but better than rats and pidgeys lol

 

I assume you weren't running down the street to have one appear each minute? We saw between 25 and 28 pokémon each half hour when we rolled at around 6 to 10 mph. You really need to be in an area with NO nearby on the tracker

Yes, we used 3 in total. The strange thing was that water pokémon would spawn in the same area for the both of us. She would get a goldeen and I would get a magikarp at the same time. It happened numerous times.

Yes, it was nice. We saw around 80 pokémon from 3 incense and there were only 2 or 3 that repeated in sets for each of us

 

I just used a lucky egg and got 62k xp. Only 2 of the pokémon were new to my pokedex so I was able to evolve 60 pokémon in 30 minutes

 

Going to do a mass evolve this week, would it be better to do 4 caterpie or 1 Metapod knowing I currently don't have a butterfree in the dex?

I'm going to load up on caterpie and do both...

I'm currently only around 30pokies ready for evolve. I'm going to catch all of the pidgeys first

 

Come to my neighborhood.. Caterpie, Pidgey, and a Karp by the pool.

 

4 caterpies takes 44 candies, overall, and yields 4000xp. 1 butterfree takes 49 candies and will yield 2000xp after registering to pokedex

Its not worth it. You will catch a butterfree and get 600xp, which is still a net gain of 1400xp

 

I'd rather fill the pokedex, and get a new poke. 2k xp isn't that much of a difference when you need 150k to level up. Besides, I have yet to see a butterfree in the wild

 

I've had 2 on my nearby this week but couldn't track down either of them

 

we had a Venusaur come yesterday but we couldn't drive around the wash in time to find it over there.

Then last night at the church a Snorlax came up and one group found it and our group didn't. It was only there for 5 minutes. One guy got a 42 Snorlax and someone else got a 1400 Snorlax...

 

Magic...



I guess I'll be evolving Caterpie now

 

Went walking with the pup around a park I heard about near my house. Should've just biked it to get it over with quicker. It was super hot and pretty dead as far as pokies. It had 1 gym and maybe 8 stops spread throughout but barely anything popped up except the standard Pidgey/rat/bat/Nat. I did get a Vulpix that was at a lured stop and hatched 2 eggs though...

Right as I was getting back to my car a Scyther popped up but it wasn't on my nearby.



I've had that happen a lot lately with the stronger pokies that don't evolve from/to anything. Anyone else see that? It's like the game is rewarding me for playing for a certain amount of time and just pops up one. That's how I've gotten most of my magmars too...

 

Went hunting this afternoon. Didn't get anything fun. Saw a snorlax on my nearby on the way home, had to find him. After that I had to go back to town and fight some gyms. Didn't do too much damage since he's essentially double my next highest poke. But made it to level 14, whooo!!!
