I finally got enough Magikarp candy over the weekend to evolve a gyrados, it has 100% IV's and I ended up with Bite and Twister. FML lol

I guess I'll start collecting again. I've also never seen a wild Snorlax yet but am taking the kid to disneyland in a little over a week and Vegas in late October so hopefully I'll see some cool stuff at either of those points.

Otherwise I actually have a pretty good variety where I live... just not too much of the very rare stuff, although I did catch an Aerodactyl.

I'm level 24 and still dont' have enough candy to evolve magikarp. Congrats on that capture, remember CP and good move set is better than IV score.

I have yet to run into a snorlax too. I was at the park the other and some kid said there was Snorlax at the other side of the block that he just caught a few minutes go. When I get there, nothing. I think the kids were laughing at me.... :burnrubber:

Probably just because of that initial dark attack. Nothing has defense against it

When it comes to Gyarados, you can only have one of these.

I've got a high CP Jiggly (541), but man do those IVs suck. I'd rather hold off until I get a good one.

Well, at least go for high HP with Jiggly. Wiggly is a beefy mofo.

I read about IVs that they only have a at most 10% affect on your pokemon's advantage. I don't really keep up with them anymore. All about that CP and trying to get 2k on my evolves from now on

Second with good move set, if possible. I'm still learning this game, my son just laughs at me and says this is really not a pokemon game. What does a 13 thirteen year know, his only played it since he was 5 years old. He refuses to play go and only plays on DS and emulators.

I agree it is different than the others since you can't level up your pokies by fighting them against others (which would be so much easier than this candy gathering nonsense) but that's really the only difference. I like being outside and I also like video games. Best of both worlds IMO

He tried a local comic store that hosts yuki-gi-ho(not sure if that's right). We requested a weekend for pokemon only son and another kid showed up. Month later they stopped it to make room for more players on yuki or something.. The other kid didn't know how to play so he was upset, my son was patient but the other kid was a rock. My son said he felt he was a teacher and was frustrated.. In elementary he did play with another kid 2 grades higher, since they had different schedule it was difficult for them to schedule a match. I think they played a couple of times. But it was to rushed so he says....

    first world problems.
