    Go to Redondo Beach... lots of pokestops on the streets and then if you go to the pier, more pokestops and tons of good pokemon. I like it better than Santa Monica.

    Then finally got enough Magikarp candies to evolve my first Gyrados! Not too bad CP wise but moves are disappointing.

    In 2 years I'll have enough candy and hopefully also a better Magicarp. I'm going to make him my buddy as soon as I get enough for my Raichu so that will help. There's a spot in town that spawn carps but you have to sit at a bar to do it. OH WELL!

    Anyone notice that the "seen" in the Dex now accounts for when you see Pokémon in gyms? Like I don't have a Lapars, never seen one in the wild only in gyms, but the Dex says I have "seen" one.

    Someone say 160+ flopfish? Got this guy waiting at a red light above a big county storm drain yesterday morn. Finally my blacked out panel van attracted something useful! 174 of those candies are from my buddy, even at 1 candy per KM this is taking forever! Getting coins also sucks in So Cal. I've yet to see a gym stay with the same trainer for more than 2 days, and that was a level 10 with a 2,900 Charizard on it, so I may knock one over every few days, collect from my 1 gym, and then it's gone within minutes :bananadead: Still grinding tho, currently level 28!

    It is because you have 'seen' them in a gym or a gym you have a 'mon in also has that pokemon in it. I have one of my eggs in a gym right now that has a Lapras in it so now I have a shadow of a lapras in my dex and it is no longer a perfect 121 seen 121 caught. Super annoying for my OCD...

    I just did a 172 karp and it didn't break 2k CP so definitely wait for a stronger karp, especially if you struggle for the candy. I've already evolved 3 so I just do one when I do a mass evolve now for the extra XP...
