Anyone do the community event today? I got 7 shiny beldums and 2 Mewtwos

 

I was driving home from DC for a bit of it and dropped an incense and got 1 shiny beldum. Made it home with enough time to drive around for half an hour or so and ended up with 4 total.

I also made 5 ultra friends and 2 best friends while I had a lucky egg dropped for a nice 900k XP bump. Still didn’t level up from 37 to 38 even with all that

 

I think I caught about 90 beldums. I evolved 3 to Metagross one isn’t great but it’s a shiny. And then evolved another shiny to metang just to have. I’ve got a few other beldums that have great IV but not going to evolve them now.

 

Everyone get their shinys today?

 

We were at a college football game and while it had 3 gyms the cell service is awful. We managed to attempt all 3 of them but it was just my fiancé and I and we failed miserably trying to duo it. Got lucky on our first raid and 2 random people joined the lobby but we were unable to find them to do the other 2. So neither of us got a shiny

 

Which shiniest were today? I have not been playing hardly any since the last community event

 

Gengar. It took over raids for 3hrs today

 

Oh. Dang. I did not do that. Bummer.

 

I didn’t get to do any raids, but managed to get three Pinsir.

anybody playing the new pokemon games on nintendo switch? I hate it's all nintendo only since I don't own one, or I'd play it. nostalgia for sure.

 

I have a switch, thinking about picking it up.

 

it looks great, definitely appeals to the kid in me since I grew up playing the originals on a black and white gameboy.

 

New(ish) to the game, but just added a bunch of codes I found in here. A friend of mine finally convinced me to play a few months back.

I love my switch. I’ll be picking up a copy soon, still trying to finish Zelda first but my wife wants to play Let’s Go too. I still have my gameboy color and Pokémon red and she recently started a game but she won’t keep up with it being on an old ass game boy lol. She never played as a kid but is more into Pokémon go than I am so Let’s Go will be a good way for her to experience some of my childhood nostalgia

Nice! I’ll have to wait until I can get this one. My wife and I are in the Bahamas for our honeymoon until next Tuesday so the 2 of us together can’t do many raids. We are trying to get through this Meltan research but we are going to get stuck on the “battle in 10 raids” quest. Our resort has 1 gym and shotty wifi. The good news is we have caught a ton of heracross, corsola, and lunatones already since Monday. So at least we are getting some good trade fodder.
