I came across a gym last week that had a 13 Magikarp on the bottom that someone put some serious dedication in to leveling it up. It was a level 6 with only 3 pokies on it. I had to circle back to it about 30min after I saw it to finally add a pokie and 2 others had already been added. It only lasted for a couple more hours

 

It's already gone.

That exact app is no longer in the play store, I've tried installing 2 other versions that do the same thing but no dice. It does place my trainer where I designate, but doesn't show gyms, stops or pokemon. Also have a banner across the screen "Failed to detect location". He does move around when I move the joystick, but that's no use if I can't catch anything. In this screen there should be 2 stops & a gym within striking distance, plus another hand full in the distance. I'm not sure this will work anymore since the update last month that forced us to use "high accuracy" mode on Android phones. Not sure

 

Plenty of people have gotten banned for that

 

I briefly considered doing that just to walk around my neighborhood because I live in an area with little to no signal. If I walk outside and get even 2 houses down I'll lose my wifi and won't even be able to send a text. And for some odd reason all the starter Pokémon (and evolutions) spawn on the next street over, but nothing I can do about it.

on them studs and on getting to 25! I just hit it yesterday myself. I decided to never walk in my neighborhood with incense again. Same deal, minus the Magikarps, even though we are surrounded by water on three sides. I wouldn't be so mad if there were Magikarp, I'm still at only 342 candies towards Gyrados.

 

I've already got 2 Garys but I still like the Karp. I was more pissed I only got 8 pokies out of the 30min. I thought I'd get closer to 1/min or at a minimum 1/2min

 

I read something somewhere about the average rate of pokies popping up walking with no incense vs walking with incense vs sitting at a lured stop... I'll have to see if I can find it again and post it here.

 

If only that scyther had both bug attacks it would be an exeggutor destroyer
