Hey guys hope everyone had a good Christmas! Been awhile since I posted on here; I got some bad news so I loading my truck up with stuff I noticed my leaf springs were bending the other way. So I have no choice but to get new leaf springs. The camper shell by itself weighs about 200ish. Anyone know which leaf springs should I get? I probably haul about 1700-2000lbs every weekend for work.

Well you have choices. You could do the Dakar OME heavy duty pack, All Pro expedition pack, or even a progressive 3 leaf AAL but that may or may not last. Any of these will mean you'll need new shocks as well. With the Dakars or All Pro's Bilstein B110's. With the 3 leaf AAL Bilstein 5125's

I think Deaver and some other companies will custom make springs as well

I already installed the extended Bilstein 5100s back in March. Would they work? Are there any other parts I need in order to do this?

If you order Dakars I believe you'll have to order the bushings and Ubolts as well. Honestly wait until after new year when headstrong opens back up and see what they offer. They usually will put kits together with everything you need. You could go ahead and Email All Pro or call and see what they suggest and/or offer. The shocks i'm not so sure about I believe they're not long enugh. You can clean them up and sell them to recoup some of your exspense

Dang alright. I heard that when people lift the rear they start to have vibration issues. Do you know what might cause that?

Your just changing the driveline angles. My first Tacoma had them just right on take off. I made my own carrier bearing drop and it took most of it away. When I lifted this truck I just went ahead and installed the OME CB drp kit and I've had no vibrations. I have a 3 leaf AAL in the rear which gave me about 2.5-3" of lift. The AAL works good for me but as much weight as you carry regularly I'm kinda affraid it wouldn't last

Yeah I want to do everything right the first time and make it last for awhile. So just buy a 3 degree shim and I should be good to go? Did you also get longer brake lines? Sorry for all of these questions.

I didn't have to do the shims I only did the OME CB drop it's not exspensive, I have not had to do brake lines yet but they are on the list, and ask away I'm no expert but will help when I can

Alright thank you! I'll wait for Headstrong and see if they have a deal coming up or not.

I don't know if they'll have a deal as their prices are already so competitive but they probably either have or can put together a package for you with all you need. Maybe leaf packs, shocks, brake lines, and all the associated hardware you'll need for installation in a package it's worth a shot

I found a package that they do on their website

    https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p462/Old_Man_Emu_Dakar_Leaf_Package_-_DakarPKG.html

This package includes the leaf packs, longer u-bolts, the full bushing kit and the OME carrier bearing drop.

Supposedly you do not need extended break lines from OME. I have a set just never installed. I went with the HD DAKARS with over load removed. The full Standard Dakar’s could be good for you also

Nice build! Spruce mica is probably my favorite Tacoma color, if you're ordering from headstrong you may consider getting their u-bolt flip kit as well if you're concerned about clearance.

Yeah so just get the medium duty springs? How bad is the rake when you first installed them? I only have the front lifted 2 inches.
