Why have you not aggressively exported this "Poutine" thing?

It looks absolutely delicious, but I can't get any here.

What other delicious foods are you hording to yourselves?

Clamato Juice is available there, but Ceasars are the best drinks ever. I can never get them down there though...they try to make a bloody mary and call it a ceasar....sometimes. Most of the time they just say "wtf is that?" when I used to try to order a Ceasar.

Taco Bell in the states doesn't have fries. If you are ever in Canuckistan, order a "Fry Supreme" @ Taco Bell. You'll never be the same person again.

The U.S. is our big brother.
You have shitty health care (good health care but you have to pay for it, so it is shitty that your government doesn't take care of y'all properly) and your politics are insane. (an insanely big deal compared to ours).
    Yankees are typically ignorant.
    Southerners are typically nice.
....I think that will be enough for now to fire this thread up a little. I mean everything that I said in the nicest way...I wasn't trying to be offensive or start a fight with a the northerners. :D

Hahhaha, it's not like that....it is WAY more lenient than down there.....but you don't walk around smoking joints like cigarettes on Main St.

i like the U.S its sweet. i like that there arent a lot of rules in some states like Montana and Nevada. ive been going to the states 2 times a year for a while now. but i really notice that there are many arrogant people in the states but there are a lot of people in the U.S so there is a better chance of that. California and Canada have pretty close to the same population just to put it in prospective.

    Here's my take.
About 25% of candians are just like a lot of americans, rednecks, hunting, oudoors guns, and are conservative politically. They like Americans, and know they're good people...

Another 25% are liberal minded anti gun, anti freedom, need lots of laws to protect them from themselves........A lot of americans like this as well.....Hence Obama...

A lessor # are French. They range from a minority like the rednecks, to snobby everyone hating, arrogent, anti english, cheese eaters. This group generally dislikes Americans, many because it's trendy withing the French community. Vehemently hate Busch....Many eastern Canadians fit in this group......except speak english.

The other 25% have no formed opinions, no personality, drink lots, worship trees and mother nature.....Very sheepish, take whatever gets rammed down their throats.

Politcally, most Canadians think Bush is a Jackass, and wonder how he got elected. He's pretty unintelligent for someone (previously) running the world superpower....
Funny that we now have a Conservative (republican), Prime Minister, and you have a Liberal president. Breaks a sterotype on both sides of the border.

    My Opinion, flame away.....

Personally, I'd move to the US in a heartbeat.

Yup and I like it as much as Starbucks, don't know if that is good or bad. ;)

There are no Timmies is Maryland but when we go to Michigan there are a few. I do make it a point to stop in and buy a cup.

Is that where you are from?

I guess I fit into mainly the first of your categories then. Although I do drink a lot and tend to sit back and take whatever gets pushed in my face too. I don't care about politics at all, and have no opinion regarding gun laws. I fish and camp, but I don't hunt.

I don't know if the coffee tastes the same in MI as Canadidia, but Starbucks is popular here too. It's just really expensive I hear.

Where in MD are you? I have been to Easton a bunch of times. Ocean City too. Going to OC real soon for a VW car meet. (H2O)

My 3 day long Bachleor party was held in Montreal, we went White water rafting, moutain biking, SuperSex, and many other things... 3 of my 5 brothers got arrested in Montreal (this shows how good of a time we were having) but everyone (16 years later) still remembers that as the best party we went to.

No one Mentioned F1 race in Montreal (coming back in 2010), no F1 in US

and the reason for my post.......

The one thing the people in the US should take out of this thread is this statement that someone from CANADA posted..
" Health care is universal, not free....Anyone who earns more than 20000$ a year is paying through the nose for it, that is why we pay double the income tax that americans do. And I would give my new Tacoma to live in the states......"

    AMEN

Keep GOVT OUT OF HEALTHCARE in the US. The Feds cant even run Cash for Clunckers (most dealers have not even been paid) and we expect them to approve an x-ray in a timely manner? This will be the end of the US if we go this route....

I live in Bowie, MD about 2 hours from OC. When is the VW meet in OC?

Cause they're everywhere and we identify it with being Canadian even though it's an American run company. (Although I think that might have just recently changed again)

Truth be told the coffee is mediocre at best. I'd sooner hit a Starbucks or Second Cup (Canada's answer to StarBucks) than a Timmies even though the price is double. The better coffee is worth it.

The only good thing with Timmies is it's consistent so no matter where in Canada you go, you know you'll get the same mediocre coffee. Although it is better than Gas Station coffee, I'll give it that.

Strong? Who the fuck is drinking it? It's medium at best. StarBucks/Secondcup has strong coffee. And you can't really have both.

Strong coffee is made by roasting the beans longer. Roasting the beans longer destroys more of the caffeine thereby making it less caffeinated.
The other way you get more caffeine in the coffee is the length of time the water is in contact with the coffee. Hence why Drip Peculator coffee makers actually contain more caffeine in their coffee than an Espresso has. The water is forced through by high pressure steam in a matter of a minute or two while the drip makers take over 5 minutes for a full pot.

And the other thing that pisses me off with Timmies is their coffee is never hot. Ever. Each time I get a coffee from there it's luke warm at best.
Whenever I go to Starbucks/Second cup I get them to heat it to 180ºF which is just low enough to not burn the milk in the coffee and even then I can still drink it in a matter of minutes.
