They do indeed if you know where to go! I have definitely lit up walking through the park or down East Hastings! In fact if you walk past the Vancouver art gallery on pretty much any day of the year you can see, and most definitely smell marijuana being smoked! There is a 420 party every April 20, no arrests made. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4o-IEOhCaGc

Public health care is great, you go to the hospital or the doctor and you get the help you need weather you are rich, poor or anywhere in between. Yes there are sometimes long waits for NON ESSENTIAL surgeries, but in the end you don't have to take a 2nd mortgage on your house to pay for it. Canada is only 1 of a number of countries that use public funded health care, and there are many other countries that use a far superior health care model. France for one, in Sicily every person in the country gets health care, weather you are a resident or tourist. We do not pay more taxes then the US, and medical is paid through MSP charged provincially, here in BC our rate per person is $54 per month, $96 for a couple. I have not paid MSP premiums in 5+ years as my employer pays it, as do many employers. There is no doubt we in Canada need to over haul our medical system, there are better ways to do things, but our government is a little slow.

..its because of questions like these that we exported Celine Dion to the US and revoked her Canadian citizenship :D

I'm proud to be your neighbor to the south, even if most of us think the capital of Canada is Toronto.:p

Is this a serious question...I guess if you are one of the many people who think Canadians live in Igloos than maybe you are serious...Toronto is considered the most multicultural city on the planet....so no there are several races that live in Canada.

Rick Mercer is hilarious in these episodes. My person favourite is when he asks Bush if he plans on meeting the Canadian president, Jean Poutine.
