I don't think that they could afford to separate from Canada. The federal government calculates something called transfer payments so the the "have" provinces, like oil rich Alberta, can support the "have not provinces" like Quebec.

Hahah, I dont think Canadians hate Americans. Canadians hated Bush for sure, no doubt. Maybe some dont agree with some of the actions the U.S goverment takes. For example, the war in Iraq, the U.S softwood lumber agreement, U.S gun control laws, the fact that your in big shit if you get caught with a bag of weed.

As far as french canadians go in regaurds to disliking the U.S, I cant comment on cuz I don't know. I'm from the westcoast of Canada and theres no french being spoke here, except for the odd tourist.

I believe a lot of people feel that French Canadian can be somewhat arrogant at times. *disclaimer** Not a dig at french canadians, just an observation.

The west Coast of Canada is great! Theres year round surfing, you can go for a day of skiing and round of Golf in the same day!! The sumers are nice temp 25-30 degrees usually. There freshwater rivers here are amazing, swimming spots that you would never believe. Some of the worlds best salmon and trout fishing year round. The winters are warm, rarely do we see temps below -5 degrees. Quite often we get daytime Temps of 10-15 degrees in the middle a February!

We've had a wicked awesome summer on the west coast. Broke all kinds of records, 42c for a couple days last month, thats way way too hot though for my liking. All you can do is lay in the river to stay cool!

Canada was definitely in WW2 before the Americans, America was selling steel to the Nazi's! If Germany hadn't invaded Russia, it would have been a very very different war. They lost 2/3 of there army there.
