    OMFG!!!! Do you have a lot of sled accidents in the lakes up there? When I worked in Illinois, every winter we had one. Usually didn't turn out too well....

    Yeah, same up in Illinois. Problem is, people would think that the middle of the lake would be as think as the portions close to the shore. :facepalm:

    There's a place in BC that has hotsprings and an ice pool right next to it. I believe the water is 4ºC, but jumping full submersion into it from hot springs at +28ºC...your boys travel pretty quick into the body cavity to keep warm.

    OK, I might be asking a dumb question.... I am American, so that goes without saying. Is it a hot springs because of lava like the ones in Hawaii? :anonymous: And my mind is fuzzy right now from pure heat exhaustion living in Hades.

    Our hot springs are usually more from Geothermal areas being slightly closer to the surface in areas with underground water travel threw mountains

    Aboot 5,689 degrees with 700% humidity. :( Working in this is not fun. I have to do training tomorrow in this heat. Building rakers (shoring for collapsed buildings) and cutting metal with petro torches in this heat is NOT going to be fun...... I was not born to be a carpenter, but had to learn some of this stuff for technical rescue training. It's fun when it isn't hot out. :D

    Thank goodness no. Just tshirt, duty pants, and steel toed boots. At the welding station, we have protective welding gear and wear a long sleeve tshirt if we want.
