    the we dont pay for our governments over spending. who do they expect to pay for it? they would really rather default on their loans than raise taxes. honestly it higher taxes dont hurt.

    The vast majority of Americans have terrible difficulty with the concept of the minute minority of the obscenely wealthy being asked to revert to a previously existing tax level (not an increase, per se).

    It pains them to think that those those who are responsible for laying them off and destroying their lives and families in the name of profit margin and preferred stock options might not be able to afford one of several new houses or yachts in the next couple years. We Americans are a sensitive, considerate bunch.
