Folks are English. I went there when I was 5 (1971, England) and 15 (adding Scotland, St Andrews, Loch Lomond, Callander, Edinburgh--saw the Tattoo--and the edge of Wales, too), and in 2003 (England, mainly London and B'ham, Cotswolds, for family visits).

I want to do some of the National Trust walking trails, castles, mound fortresses, etc., frolic in the highlands and go scotch tasting, go visit the place where they filmed Local Hero, then go see Mick-land, the Irish coast, Guinness brewery, etc.

Are you going to the Lake District? Awesome. Best fish and chips I ever had were on the high street in Windemere, FYI...
