    electrical technician. I don't think there is a trade comparable to it in the US navy. E-Techs in the canadian navy do everything from changing lightbulbs to troubleshooting control systems to rewinding motors and generators.

    Back story, I cover canada for my job (International mnachine sales) and why is it that almost all french canadians have some kind of chip on their shoulder? I speak french well enough to get by but lack some of the finer vocabulary to really discuss machines in detail namely because it doesnt exist in the french language. 99.95% of everyone else I talk to in Canada are awesome people.
