Dude, come work in Alberta. I don't know what PCPs get paid but EMT-As are starting at $25/h and medics are at $29/h start. And there's shift diff premiums on top of that.

I may head on over and do my EMT-P at SAIT, then decide wether or not to work there, or here. That would land me a full-time position basically anywhere I want here. I'm makin 19.29 when I'm on calls, right now... $2 or $10 while at quarters.

$25 for 12hr shift. $2-4 night premium and anything from $3-5 weekend premium. Per hour. So that can be an extra 5-9 bucks per hour on top of your current hourly wage.

Bullshit, sorry to hear man. That's why I'll never work in the States. I love my job, I don't love it enough for $9.50hr though.

Holy crap. Alberta sounds sooo nice. I just don't know if I could live there.... I like the fishing and hunting around here. Nearly every lake around here (and there's hundreds) have quallllity fish and I don't know if I could give it up.

I like doing that at night when it's snowing like mad, with the white strobes on. Glad I don't have epilepsy or I wouldn't be able to enjoy it. In the bay with the bay lights off is pretty good too. Get some weird stop-motion type movement goin' on.... good times...

I like to turn Amb Connect off and turn the siren on to phaser and leave it for the next crew. :anonymous:

You can always go back to visit and fish? And hunting? Dude, it's Alberta, I can go hunting with my truck. Just swerve a little on the shoulder at night and I'm sure to bag something. Deer, elk, the occasional hippy. (Don't pick those up though. They taste like tofu and smell like burn skunk ass weed.)

I did the amb connect prank on a crew at the hospital emerge as they were offloading... Our phaser you have to hold a button down with the dial on yelp, so we just do yelps. Probably wasn't the best idea, since all of the emerge nurses went crazy.

We'll see about AB man. Sounds better and better ever time I hear more about it.

I'm not a fan of tofu and skunky ass weed, so no hippies haha.

Stay safe out there.... I'm back after a 10 day break.. On til Friday night non stop. Fml.

It's good shit. A little chaos with the new protocols, but you can't argue with the wages.

I personally think being an EMS would be a very demanding, Grueling, hard working job. So i applaud you guys, Thanks for doing the work that i would probably die doing! I have CF so ive had to ride in the Ambulance and the chopper. My uncle is pretty high up working with Flight For Life.

Put some ointment on it and get your goat checked out.

No worries. We feel the same way about 9-5 desk jobs. We do it cause it's something we like doing and we got a higher percentage of freak in us.

I thought we talked about this already. Go to a Physical Therapist to either get some exercises to make it better or get it checked out to see if there is any real damage to ligaments and tendons. Trust me...you don't want to fuck around with your knees.
