About a decade ago my mother was the one that found a bad valve in my grandfather so he has a metallic valve in there. So yeah... hearts are in our family.

I was curious that what your heart doe, if it would be considered asysmptomatic Psvt but you stated you get light headed and also brought on only by exercise.

Yes, In SVT the heart can either correct itself on its own or I believe it can go to a ventricular ryhthm if not corrected and quit after that.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that one.
Unfortunately, If you don't use it you lose it ( damn memory ) . I hate that.

yeah, cardizem is a calcium channel blocker; that may be why the beta blocker works for yah.

Lots of people that take cardizem take it for A-fib (old people) to control their HR.

We also give it IV in the field for the same reason (SVT, A-fib uncontrolled)

So you have chest pain when your HR gets up there?

    wow, that sucks....

Whats your official diagnosis? Do they know why this is happening?

Sorry for all the sorta personal questions. As a paramedic it is very interesting to hear about these things, especially because I may encounter someone like you in the field.

I see we are talking about heart beats!

I have a heart murmur nothing cool,

But I have a SLOW heart beat...

When I meditate and completely relax I can get it to drop pretty low. When I was in the hospital for some BS work they had me hooked up, so I relaxed and started meditating and got it down to 26 or 28bpm

No reason to post just thought it was cool!

I got mine down to 35 in the back of the box on a clinical. Was messing around with the monitor at 2am and decided to get myself down as low as possible and print a tracing :D

My preceptor opened the door to the box and though I was trying to shit myself :D

Funny though is that I didn't feel any different at 35...took a solid 2 mins to get back to my norm of 55-60.
