Wow, we got told that if it was found out that we took pics of a scene that we would be kicked off the fd and face disciplinary action.

Fuck that. We take them so we can show the nurses and Docs exactly what happened at the scene. They can see the deformation and hits on the vehicles just as if they were there. Best tool in helping them assess PTs we bring in. Describing it to them only goes so far.

As for FOIP...it's a public accident. You can see it if you drive by. It's not personal information so there's no problems as far as disclosure is involved.

A friend I know accidentally sprayed Wasp Killer into his eye. It was a cool refreshing feeling, followed by intence buring, and tingling. he stuck his head underwater and "swished" it around for a bit, and everything seems to be fine. Should he be worried?

They are just CYA, if someone that knew it was the victims car then they could potentially sue, yada yada yada. Just trying to keep themselves out of a potential situation. But as far as helping the staff understand what happened i agree, posting them on the www, i see their point.

We drive with lights and no sirens all the time. Those things get annoying.
Plus there are areas where we aren't suppose too. Like near hospitals, and rich neighborhoods.

    Also late night on freeways

When I drive code 3 I rarely use the siren. Its loud and annoying. I'll use it in heavy traffic and to clear an intersection

Its in our policy that states if you are running code 3 you will have lights and sirens going. Who follows that to the letter, i dont know

    Probably

From what I uderstand in my province you can run lights and no siren, but company policy is anytime lights are on sirens are on.

Running code 3/4 lights w/ no sirens is dangerous...IMO...takes the one dude you dont see pulling out on some little street at 3am, not paying attention, that could have HEARD you to fuck up your day.

Wake someone up at 3am?? Well they can just close their eyes and go back to sleep.

Only place I dont use the siren is on the interstate where there is no chance of someone pulling out in front of you.

    Plus Sirens are fun :headbang:
