Sooner rather than later. If there is damage you could be making it worse by letting things heal improperly.

All I can say is when it comes to your knees or your back, don't fuck around. They are some of the most painful things to have surgery to. Better to do some physio now and get it better than go through 1½+ years of recovery after surgery.

:eek::eek: I try to get my students to test within a few months.... I hope you did some studying. EMT Achieve has some pretty good practice exams to take.
I think you should have it amputated.

:D Is it swollen and bruised? Wouldn't hurt to get an x-ray. Like I tell my patients..... Can't tell if somethings broken without an x-ray. ;)

Is it normal for my heartbeat to shake my body? i mostly notice it if I'm laying in bed. It will be like very little tremors through my body and it will shake the bed (full size bed) a little bit as well. my fingers are always shaking to, i cant hold a fork steady for the life of me haha. I can understand this happening on nights i work out, but it happens even if i don't work out for a few days.

i know alot of things go into this but Im healthy, dont eat meat, even though high blood pressure runs in the family i dont have it...yet, im not over weight 6'2 163lbs and less then 8% body fat

Ive been meaning to go get a physical just because i havent had one in a while and i was going to bring this up, but i thought id try here first. any ideas?

 So the tremors are the same as the heartbeat rhythm? You shake from head to toe? Is this only happening when you lay in bed or are you always shaking? I would definitely go to a doctor and at least have some blood drawn to check out your electrolytes.

Sounds like you pulled the ligaments. I had that exact same pain when I snapped a tendon in my hamstring. If you sit down and move your leg super super slowly does it still hurt?

    lol Yea.
I've seen these. We have struck a deal with USC that if I enter upper division top 10% of the class they will pay for one for me.
    x2 on the $$$$
Thanks I have about 60% loss bilaterly corrected to the 95th percentile of Americans
That's also another biggie for me is the sirens and engine noises.

Also just a quick note when I remove my hearing aids and use a traditional seth I can hear heart beats, lung, digestive tract, bp pulses just fine, I love being a male in nursing class filled with woman on hear the hear beat day, but what most have told me is that I wouldn't really have time to pull them out and put them back in.

I would definitely have it looked at. If you have pulled a ligament or something and don't identify that and let it heal properly, you will have bad long term affects.....
    Very well could be.
I'd be curious what they tell you. I think I read somewhere about Magnesium level being off and causing that. Keep us posted! Good Luck. :)
I'm not sure what type of hearing aid you wear, but check this website out. It shows some scopes you can actually use WITH hearing aids.

You may be able to hear with just a good stethoscope. I have a Littman Cardiology II that I've had for 15 yrs best money I've ever spent. It takes some time when you first get it to learn to block out the road noise that you hear in it but once you get use to them they are great. I've used the Cardiology III too and it's a good scope too but I like the II better. Best thing would be to see if you can find someone who will let you try them out before you buy one.

As far as the siren, I smoke and have almost always worked with someone who has so we would ride with the windows open so we got the full sound from the siren coming in the cab. It's not bad if you have the windows closed.

Just wanted to say thanks to the heroes called medics. You people save lives everyday. My life was once saved by a medic ( whom I never met) because I was passed out from alcohol poisoning. much gratitude and respect for you and pull the fuck over when you see an ambulance coming people, it could be you someday!!

You're welcome and I'm sorry that you actually had the need for an ambulance, but glad they were able to help you! Here's a video to share with people about pulling over for ambulances. There are a lot of dumb drivers out there. :)
