It's the Bible. Oldest recored book? Pretty reliable I'd say.

The bible is not the oldest "book", unless you mean the oldest book printed on a press, which sends it back a whopping 600 years to the 1400s. The old testament stretches back pretty far, but the Chinese had been systemtically recording their history for about a thousand years by the time A.D. rolled around.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Not exactly, considering some books aren't included in the bible. Look into the Gospel of Mary and the Gospel of Judas, both of which contradict the stories in the published Bible. The Gospel of Mary suggests that Mary was actually a disciple; not a prostitute. Then look into the Council of Nicea.

What I've always wondered is why the Mormans killed all those settlers in the 1800s.

Do mormon's typically adhere to calvinism or armeneism? Or is that pretty hotly contested in the ranks as it is in most other denominations?

I actually have a serious question.

What is the best way to tell the Mormon church by my house to stop sending people to my door? I live pretty close to one and I'm ALWAYS getting them at my door.

    Hope those help too.

    repost

    No

although tbh don't know what either is all that well (just googled them)

Next time they come, ask for the mission office's phone number. Call them and ask to not be visited. Thats probably the best way. ;)

Mormans massacring "non-believers" is just another incidence of a religion's followers who fled "intolerance" only to be just as intolerant themselves.

I will have to admit though, that even if the Mormon religion (as does religion in general) makes no rational sense, that most (current day) Mormons I've met have been pretty decent people. South Park's "All about Mormons" notes this -- it's the moral of the episode.
