    Guy I worked with flew C-12s up here for part of his tour. They fly technicians and other folks out to the radar sites. He flew out to one of the sites once and it was something like -55 Fahrenheit. The crew from the site was late making it down to the airfield and the "shack" at the field was locked up, but he HAD TO GO...told me literally his pee froze before it hit the ground. Said it was one of the craziest things he ever saw. It's not typical...but if cold enough it will happen. :eek:

    Said he didn't waste any time tucking things back in either!!!:D

    you actually can through a comercial operator, local Native corporation has tours every summer. I worked up on the fields for over a year and watched them go into the fields.

    lol, you obviously never been in cold weather > i have been in ambient temp of around 55 below and -79 with wind chill temps while i was up in Prudhoe. Nothing really moves at that temp for long. Everything shuts down and only emergency vehicles allowed on the road.

    I haven't tried that one, but I like Alaskan Amber/Winter/Pale. Will have to try White next. He said pitchers...I always thought the "watered down beer" stories were BS, but now....things that make you go "hmmmmm?" Hope nobody's rippin' off the tourists!? :eek:

    Ya amber is always my favorite, especially the Alaskan. The Alaskan White has a really nice flavor to it, more of a holiday type ale. It may be seasonal, not sure. I know my gf loves it too.

    The winter ale is nice too and compares to the white ale but the white ale is 10x better IMO.
