OK I have a question for you.

The media portrays Americans as being overweight/obese.

Is it true that many/most Americans are overweight? If so, why do you think that this has happened to you guys?

    Cheers.

Americans are depressed so they eat. We live in a country that is made to feel bad for being wealthy. Made to feel bad for being poor. Made to feel bad being happy. Made to feel bad for being sad.

Many Americans are overweight, but I wouldn't say most. I look around the place I work at and there are some beer bellies and a few overweight people, but the majority are normal looking.

The whole "overweight" thing doesn't make any sense. At my gym there is a chart. According to this chart, I am clinically morbidly obese. I am 5 foot 8 inches, 230lbs. The whole "weight" thing is irrelevant. Sure I "weigh" more than average but it takes no consideration of the composition of that weight. There are fat 180 lb people at my gym.

EXACTLY!!!!! I always say the same thing dude! Weight is just a number. As long as you look good and are in good physical condition, who cares how much you weigh?

I think the percentage of body fat is more important to consider than weight. After all, muscle weighs more than fat.
