Actually , recent studies link a common genome through the aboriginal populations along the west coast of North and South America , suggesting they are all from a common geneology .

 

Well I didn't completely rule it out. When I edited, I said that it could be possible. I was kind of taking about the Natives of the Southeastern part of the US (Cherokee tribe, Creek tribe, etc). Did it say that the Natives from the Southeast shared this too? It seems like it would take a long-ass time for so many people to cross the Bering Strait, make their way all the way down the western coastline, and then populate these two entire continents. I get thrown off by different studies because all of their dates are different. Some say that civilization is about 2 thousand years old, others say hundreds of thousands. Without a solid answer, I can't really say yes or no to either. The genomes don't mean a lot to me because all humans have the same essential genetic makeup, so of course there will be many similarities. It's also hard to say who is who when so many different civilizations mix over and over through time. So in turn, it's really hard to tell who is from where and who those people actually are. Talking about this and learning about it in school always seemed pointless to me because nobody really knows, nor will anybody ever really be able to know. Everybody is just essentially guessing, some just have a few more facts or common links going their way.

 

Well , I would put it to you this way , if we assume that the human race evolved in Africa , and spread across europe and asia , without crossing the bering bridge , how would these aboriginal peoples you are talking about get to what is now the southern US ?

Probably in a hummer, lol. I know what you are saying. I'm not saying it isn't true. I am just saying that in some ways it doesn't add up, like the dates. The point I was making about the natives in the southeast was sort of referring to the dates. Like I said about the people making their way down the west coast, it would take a long-ass time. It wouldn't take quite as long as it did to south america, but it would take them a while to get to the southeast too. I am just saying for me to believe everything that is concluded in a study and all of the studies together as a whole, it would need to fit together like a puzzle. It doesn't and never will. Pieces of that puzzle are missing and the missing pieces are filled in with good guesses. Some of them are likely, but that doesn't make them true. Dates of civilizations are varied, carbon dating isn't as accurate as people think, human remains and genes are all very similar, etc, etc. Therefore, I won't ever fully confide that all of it is true. It's basically the guy who believes the science books vs the guy who just doesn't. And I'm fine with that, just because data may make a certain thing appear one way, doesn't mean that I should or have to believe it.
